Do I need rollbar in convt?

Planning on going yo the Test & Tune at Rt 66 drag this summer. Have an 04 GT convt, will I need a roll bar? Minor mods ( CAI, Borla catbacks, Bama tuner) so I am guessing 14s. If I read the rules right, it a ppears if the car is sub 13s u need one. Who can help?

You should be fine. 13.49 or faster in a vert is the rule. Also depends on track. I run 11's with no roll bar and not a word has been said.

Sounds like you've already done your homework on the track your going to, plus with your mods you should be fine. Also when you get there, just tell them that your not sure what your car will run. They will usually be a bit more understanding then.

At my track, roll bar for verts period. But many people get away with it. ATCO is generally a cool track.

You should be fine with your mods. A roll bar won't qualify as a cage either, anything after 13.99 in a Convertible you'll need an actual cage! Just to clear it up as well, its 11.49 or faster you'll need a cage for a hard top.

I hope this helps! Have a great time at the track and remember to have fun.

This also varies on the year the car was manufactured. Unless your took his year into consideration already.
