Alright time to bump this thread one last time. The track closes after next week so I figured I would make one last try this year to hit 14s. The car is mostly the same however I added some MM FLSFCs and some 24lb injectors along with an updated tune from Bama. I'm not really expecting to hit 14s but hopefully I can knock off at least a couple tenths off my previous times.

Why did you add bigger injectors?

19s are at 80% duty cycle with mild bolt ons.. Especially 19lbs late. 01 and up are 21 and can handle more ..

I think they were closer to 90% duty cycle stock. Either way they max out pretty fast when you start doing bolt ons, I went with 24s cause I found them for a good deal and I wanted plenty of head room for later on.

15.5 my first run, 15.6 on my second with a passenger, and ran a 16.0 after missing third on my last one.

Brutal times :/. Did you guys get any slips? I'm curious to see why the times are slower then mine were.:/. I'm no champ, but I nailed 14.4 with my old 99 when it was stock. I later got 13.68 best with my cams and a mild tune , street tires, 3.27 gears and a short shift.

Nope 15.3. My 15.6 would have been pretty decent if I didn't have a passenger

Altitude is the reason. Our track is sitting at 5300 ft if I remember right. I don't have any pictures of my slips right now but I can take some later tonight.

There you go. I was thinking that was it. Brutal. Still fast , but it's amazing how big a difference there is between 15.1 and 14.1!

Should've just checked your profile. Colorado

Haha sure, I don't know what Bosses run stock unfortunately, I just know that if I had one i'm not sure it would ever see a drag strip.

Greg I think it's possible, but I never managed to get a clean run in before the track closed for the night.

They take the last runs at 8:45. Yeah I brought my brother. Your car could probably launch harder than mine if you can get some grip.

Just cause of the weight difference? And nice, so they close next week?

Yeah that's what I was thinking.. I might have firefighter training that day anyways so I probably won't get a chance this year to run.

I'm gonna hijack your thread because I don't see a need in starting a new one.
Tonight I will be running my car on the 1/8 mile. I've never been racing in my life, I know a couple basics, but still looking for some pointers. We can go ahead and call my 97 GT completely stock. The tires are all season 245 width, what tire pressure should I be running? Also the the temperature is 60° and the density altitude will be 1,600 ft., so what time would you expect me to run.

I have no clue what you would run, but I left my tire pressure alone on the rear (around 36psi) and set them at 48ish in the front

Just got back from the strip and these were my clean runs; 9.809, 9.865. I was running 76 mph all night, except for my fastest time. I guess my 60 ft time was just the best for that one.

Lmao that's why I love my mud flaps and when I ran I dropped my tire pressure to 25 in the back for better traction
