Camaro ss

Hey guys! I had a run with a 2010 Camaro ss from 80kmh and at 160km/h I started pulling ahead of him. Isn't the Camaro ss a v8? If so, how the heck was I able to not only keep up with him but pull ahead.

* keep in mind this was done on a closed circuit, never on open streets..

I would guess Gears at the higher speeds (maybe) or you out drove the other driver, the 2010 Camaro SS has a 6.2 liter in it. Specs for that motor are 426hp so on paper at least he should have pulled away.

Probably couldn't drive. The SS has 426hp and has 3.90 gears in the diff.

It could possibly be that my mustang was factory defective and has 505 Hp instead of 305..

he shoulda blown you away if you at no real performance upgrades. it was probably an auto ss. that's embarrassing for him. lol. when I raced mine when it was stock I got beat real bad. now I beat ss by a few car lengths easy. put some mods on your 3.7. you'll be surprised what it can do with a little bit of money

+1 The weight in some of these new GM cars really affect their performance.
