So me and my buddy went to the drag strip last week and here's my slips from 2 runs:

I'm in the left lane on both slips.

1/8th mile and my car is an 03 GT that consists of:
Mach shaker system
JLT CAI
Bbk LT headers
O/r h
Flow 10 catback
Short throw
Racing clutch (unsure of the specifics)
And 275/35/18s in the rear (may be 275/40/18, can't remember)

I was running against my buddy with an 04 Mach 1 and I'm aware my reaction time is way better than his but the times I put down, are they what I should be running around? First time ever running on a drag strip also and the 2nd run I missed 3rd somehow lol so that explains the difference between the first and second run

You should be in the high 8's like maybe a 8.7 work on trying to get traction rather than just gunning it balls to the walls. And bump granny shift don't let that foot of the gas pedal and slam it in gear.

I haven't been to the track yet with my car, but I use to go for fun with a couple guys from work. I ran a 9.7 (1/8) in my 98 Grand Prix GTP (stock)... It was an automatic though so maybe that's why.. Think you should probably be closer to 9.0 mark

Yea see with only running those 2 times EVER I think I did pretty well and with more practice if something like 9.0 or 8.7 is obtainable I'd def keep practicing to get it

I was also granny shifting and didn't know how to drive back then when I ran that time.. Defiantly could have gone faster if I could power shift like I can now back then.

If you go on a night with outlaws they may prep the track better and you'll get better times. Or just follow the rubber trails.
