4.6 vs 5.0

Alright so I think some of you saw my post about me and my crew running up against another mustang crew, the majority of the other crew are new 5.0's .. With I'm more than sure nothing more than aftermarket mufflers, and running street tires, and young guys ( not the greatest drivers )

I've seen 5.0s do anywhere from 12.5-14.0 in the 1/4 mile ,
I should land in the mid-high12s .. Do you think I'll be alright?

My crew that's running
03 Modded Cobra
01 bullit F1 Procharger
2011 Full bolt on 5.0
2007 Shelby GT500 bolt ons
2004 bolt on Mach 1
03 Cobra Full bolt on / KenneBell
93 Notchback Stroker/Vortech SC
2008 GT Full bolt on / cams

Majority of us will have slicks or DRs

Majority of them just have older 5.0s making 200-230rwhp, and then the younger guys who's parents bought them new 5.0s

Yeah man that's a good line up, I actually follow a guy on instagram with a 03 cobra, and he put up a video of him the other day racing a stage 2 rousch and some new 5.0 and beat them pretty good! Good luck to y'all though!

Why can't we all just get along? I mean we need to unite and fight against a common enemy, not our own. Its times like these that test our faith, and devotion to our favorite Pony car; lest we forget that our founding fathers did not have this luxury, or ability we have been graced with today. We should embrace one another and live in harmony against those who wish to do ill against us. I ask, no, I demand that we acknowledge and respect our fellow brothers and sister from this day forth!

......But yeah your crew sounds better, and should come out on top :p

I wouldn't give them a chance. Especially street tires + new ****ty drivers they'll dump the clutch and roast em off the line.

I find it hard to respect idiots with a nice car.

A good driver with a full bolt on 4V with a tune, slicks and a decent suspension setup is an 11 second car. A bone stock 5.0 with a newbie driver is not going to be a problem but the question is how much track experience do you have?

As for your..."crew"... Nice list of stangs there. You and the 08 are probably the slowest ones but both on paper should be 11 second capable.

Hell yea your crew has some bad *** rides. I would take any lol without being picky. And I like how u said the parents bought them lol. I think most of us fall in the "poor boy built not rich boy bought" category. Good luck dude those Machs are nasty and yours looks hooked up.

See tht is why i want just a simple 400-450hp out of my Mach just to shut up the high school punks whos mommies and daddies bout them new camaros mustangs and chargers/challengers. Cause everyone knows they dont have the wheel time to know how to drive and they just want to impress that blonde seat cover on passenger side of the car. Your crew sounds stacked im lone wolfin it and everyone i come across seems a little douchy when it comes to joinin up as in i have to meet with them 1-3xs a week and pay high dues. The dues i can understand cause they go to pay for hotels at out of state events but i think i wouldnt mind hittin the track with your crew

Lol i solo it unless my brother feels like showing up in his 05. I don't care about being in a "crew". Probably because all the ones around here are retarded. Buried needle racing ( tons of GM fanboys, most of them are scared of the track and just street race), west texas powerhouse ( the "pres" pockets money from other members for his 03 termi and everyones too scared to call him out on it), row-boat racing ( really really nice fast and expensive cars. Slowest one being a 2006 GTO with a 408. But only street race and act like they run the city), sleepers inc. (8 imports that look stock but are in the mid 13s and dont accept domestic), then the biggest joke of them all; full-blown performance ( this is where the 17-21 second supercharged civics with extreeeeeeme camber, slammed, 3' spoilers, and bike racks are. Ex. ). This is why im solo and happy about it lol

All reasons I don't run in a group either. Do what I want with my car when I want, no drama, no dues etc... not exactly sure what the benefit of them is anyway honestly.

I mean to some degree we are all doin the same thing. We like our cars and want to modify them to make us happy but some of that s*** is just plain goofy. You can't help but laugh. I still can't get over the grass though. I mean damn what happened there lol and the dents in the car. Might as well kick the other side in to match. Give it some character and make it look used lol
