Since this thread topic is pretty close to the topic of my question I'll just add my question here.

Has anyone on here taken their bone stock V6 Mustang (305hp) to the track and run the 14.0 that the mags say it can do?

Plenty of people, its not hard to see mid to high 13s bone stock with the 3.7

Mine was stock with just an intake and ran 13.7 so imagine it would be close to 14.0 without it

I haven't really mowed through the gears yet, or really put it to the floor for any length of time, but even half throttle doesn't really put me back in the seat like I thought it would. (2014 V6 manual) Maybe it wakes up when you put more foot in it. My wife's 4 cyl Mazda 6 5 spd seems to have more pep to it at part throttle.

Its those 2.73 gears you've got. Those really hold the car back... Great for mpg on the highway but for acceleration they are crap.

The 3.7 does make more of its power in the top end. Its not like a pushrod where all the brute force is down low. You got to rev it high.

Kinda what I was hoping. I'm used to a 9 second car the past ten years and 4.56 gears and 1.30 60 ft times....started wondering if I was growing 'numb' to anything less.

+1 the 3.7 makes power above 4k. That's when u get the put u back in ur seat feeling. Even at WOT u won't feel it till it hits 4k.

Guess I've been babying it too much. Probably been too concerned with seeing if I can make that MPG reading get above 17.0...time to open it up. I have a buddy that had a small block 340 Challenger that kicked in in the higher rpms, felt like he hit the nitrous at 5000. Don't think it'll be THAT obvious with this, but I can't wait to take it out tomorrow.

Yea man get on it let that thing rev! Haha. I used to love getting in the 4k especially with my LTs. But I would hate seeing my MPGs drop! Lmao. Let us know how it feels up high!

Like the 5.0 , our 3.7's produce its magic at the 4 k rpm's mark. Low end raw power was never its strong suit, however having 3:73 gears in mine made a huge difference plus a performance tune. I driven a Dodge Charger Rt at my work and while they are fast, my modded N/A 3.7 is noticeably faster.

My modded 3.7 mustang kept up neck to neck with a 2010 srt8 all the way to 75 MPH
So im sure a stock 3.7 will give stay right there with an R/T and probably reel into it after 3rd because its a little lighter ? Just my 0.2

How modded are you bro? That's great you kept up with a 2010 a SRT 8 up till 75 mph. My 3.7 ran neck and neck up till 80 mph against my buddies 2002 Twin Turbo 911 Porsch. Once we hit 80 mph he began to pull ahead. I backed off once I hit 140 and he was 160 mph. On a private road of course.

I was reading that thread, I have yet to learn all the abbreviations for the Ford performance parts, what does the 'LT' stand for in BBK LT?

I have Intake, 91 bama race tune, exhaust and wheels if you could count that for better grip haha
I was afraid i was gonna get smoked but i didnt and apparently his car wasnt stock but he was a chill guy we laughed it off after and gave thumbs up
I have a guy who does his taxes with me and he has a 2011 camaro ss with full exhaust intake tune and shifter and i still beat him up to 70 and then he started taking off badly with that v8 haha
My next mod will be 4:10 gears to get of the line quicker haha
And throttle body spacer
How about you ? What are your mods ?

I'm running 91 MPT tune, Airraid CAI, BBK long tube ceramic headers, off road x pipe, 3:73 gears, one piece aluminum driveshaft and Flowmaster axle back exhaust. My plasti dip spoiler and window tint adds at least 20 rwhp. Lmao.
I dyno at 297 rwhp and 276 rwtq.

I love the tone of my exhaust system. Sounds very aggressive and nice deep rumble. I did have two glass pack resonators welded on to help with the interior drone. It made a huge difference with the interior drone.

Around 4.6 to 4.7 0-60 mph. I have a automatic and wheel spin/traction is not a problem. I get great traction with my stock tires.

I get 5.0 5.1 depending on the weather outside haha
Do you happen to know by any chance how much you can put up the gas timing with the hand held tuners ?

Long tube headers. Those 3.7 mustangs are owned by a father and son, pretty impressive how fast they are.

There's a couple recent threads on here of a guy with a cobra pushing 300 hp and 300 torque claiming to easily pull away from new charger srt8's Camaro SS and challenger srt8's ... and since your 2011 has more hp and trq then his 15 year old N/A cobra ... I would assume you!
