I've tried it both ways trying to see the effect it has on wheel hop. Of course, pulling timing out of the engine is not going to help run quick either. It's always a much heated topic in the staging lanes. It works for one and not another. With good suspension mods and drag radials, I say turn it off. In stock or street trim maybe it helps.
It's all about how well you drive the car. Drag racing street or strip all about the first 60 ft. The rest is just running the car out. So depends on driver skill level which will be best. Either way hammer down and enjoy!
Off.... The computer limits power to prevent wheel spin on the launch. Just get some seat time and learn to launch. I dropped my rears to 30 psi and ran 12.76 @ 110 on "Sport Mode".
If you turn traction control off does it stay off or do you have to shut it off everytime you restart the car . I have a new 14 coming and someone said it resets to the "on" mode everytime the car is shut off and started again. Thanks
That's the way they all are on purpose. Some moron wouldn't turn it on and then try to sue Ford because they wrecked so of course Ford has it set to be on by default.
