Ya the turbo ss is like 260 hp! And he's not the best driver. lol he lost to an 12' f150 ecoboost one time. I think I would definitely beat him of the line with rear wheel drive but when that sc kicks in idk. Lol my car is bama tuned too so that should help a little with the automatic shifting.

Ok so the local strip is opening the gates for the season Saturday. I joined and immediately got called out for $200 against a 2013 camaro ss auto with only mods being exhaust. He's going to be on stock rubber. He told me no bottle but I can keep my MT drag radials. I have an 04 5 speed mach with 4.10s, exedy stage 2 clutch, long tubes, catless H pipe and Flowmaster 10 series catback... Oh and a hurst short throw, as well as aftermarket uca lca lowered on sport lines. Thoughts?

Just curious but what type of power your car making too the wheels and what 1/4 mile times are you running?

I would think your gonna need too pull a 13.2 in the 1/4 or better too beat that 13 Camaro. What you guys think?

I found this and it looks like the 13 Camaro SS is running around 13.2 1/4 mile.

You'll need to pull a 13 flat to beat him. Given that hes an ok driver. Realistically they will run about the same time as a 5.0

I thought the 5.0 was a tad faster because it weighs less than the Camaro. Maybe I'm wrong.

It weighs a tad less, but the 'Maro has 3.90 gears and a tiny bit more power. It evens out to about the same ET.

So, what are typically the stock 5.0's and Camaro SS running 1/4 mile times

Anywhere between a 12.8-13.2 given they are both same trim (manual tranny and such)

They rated to run about the same but from what I've seen 5.0s usually win!

I haven't a clue man. Ive had the car a month and have yet to dyno it. It's coming real soon though when I tune it, Saturday i will make my first pass in the car. I'm thinking if I 60' him i have it in the bag as long as I don't miss a gear lol. He's going to pull on me top end though.

Need to remember, the auto SS does not have the LS3. It is rated at 400hp and 410tq. It also had a ton of torque management issues, making them very hard to launch.

Unless that car has a proper tune with all the torque management crap disabled, he will have a hell of a time getting off the line without major issues.

That said, if this car does have a proper tune, it will easily put car lengths on a Mach, mods or not.

Also, base V8 Camaros come with 3.45 on the manual or 3.27 automatic factory gears. The 1LE comes with 3.91's.

I've seen a stock Mach run a 13.156 in the 1/4, so it you can be consistent on shifts you should have him!!

Hmm im not worried about losing to this guy. I really don't think he is going to put any lengths on me either. The 5th gens are turds, big heavy turds.
