My son wants me to race his friends Dad. He has a 2003 Audi RS6. I have a 2013 GT with Mods listed in Sig line. Should i wait until I get my suspension work done? What do you all think? his is stock and 0-60 site lists his at 4.2 and 1/4 at 12.5. He has Auto. Is it just because i am a typical muscle car guy that I think I can take him? lol.

Who'll win?

I think you should be able to take him, they come with 450hp but they are heavy as crap. If u get a good launch on him he shouldn't be able to catch back up with you.

You should be able to pull him pretty easily, assuming you are a decent driver.

All he has to do is floor the brake and gas to bring up the revs and then just let off the brake and he will pull off a perfect run. Without doing that, he won't get a good launch.

One of my friends had an RS6 or S4 from around that time, don't remember which, but it was a low 13 @ 108 Mph car. My old AMG E55 would run door to door with it after 60.

A stock Coyote 5.0 would be able to walk my old AMG rather easily.

It is still faster than the 4.0.

Stock SS S/C Cobalts will pull higher traps and have pulled significantly faster 1/4 miles than a stock 4.0 ever will.

SRT8 auto/tuned will run a mid to low 12. A 2V with Exhaust and a 75 Shot MAY run a low 12.

Edge to the SRT8 still.

The general misinformation in this thread is mind boggling.

I've seen several SRT8's run high 12's with a 100% stock 6.1L Hemi.

My friends stock 6.1L SRT8 300C ran 12.8 - 13.1 @ 108 - 111 all day, every day. Then he bought a 6spd Challenger SRT8 6.1L, it ran the same times as the 300C. When he replaced the tires (normal tires, not DOT or slicks), he ran I think a 12.6 in an otherwise stock car.

With a tune and normal bolt-ons, the 6.1L Hemi's can be mid-low 12 second cars.

The 6.4L Hemi can and will do mid 12's stock. A guy I do work for just bought an SRT8 Grand Cherokee, he took it to the strip a few weeks ago and ran a 12.6 @ 106 or 108.

Yes I agree, but a stock 2010 srt8 challenge is a low 13s car maybe high 12s with a good driver, and like I said I've seen slightly modded 2012, srt8 go 12.8. With some wheel spin.

You can't go by what the manufacturer claims. My sister had a 6.1 srt8 challenger. They are quicker then what people give them credit for. And the new 392 can and will run mid 12's stock all day long

You're kidding me right? Some random 1/4 mile quote? Get YOUR facts straight. SRT8 2010 CHallenger is a 12 second car. Whether you have seen one or not is another story.

Cobalts generally run mid 14s for the S/C ones but can and have gone low 14s. A stock 4.0 is not a mid 14 second car. More like just cracking 14s.

Sounds about right. No traction FWD but gaining at the end because it is a faster car.

Aren't stock 4.0 V6's low 15 second cars trapping low 90s?

Aren't Cobalt SS Supercharged low 14 second cars trapping around 100?

The guy driving the Cobalt needs a driver mod.

I'm not that was what I have seen. And yes the new 392 are mid 12s cars not the 425hp 6.1 in 2010 right?

The 6.1 is a high 12 second car stock, with basic mods, mid - low 12's.

Ok I was wrong then. I apologize to Borii , I just have never seen a stock srt8 go 12s in person. I truly thought they are 13 sec cars

No need to apologize. Remember this, if you ever go to the track almost EVERYONE runs crap times. So the outcome of these races are all fathomable, no matter who is the faster car.
