I'll be attending my first track day at Road Atlanta in June, and I've got a couple of questions about tire diameters.
I have Eibach Sportline Springs installed at all 4 corners, along with Tokico HP Struts/Shocks. I'm currently running Continental Extreme Contact DWS P255/45 ZR17 with great streetability and wear. The Conti's are 26-inches in diameter, and with my setup I have about 2 inches of ground clearance at the lowest point on the front.
In preparation for the track day, I have come across a set of used Hoosiers(rebadged conti's) from over at Bimmerworld, but they are about .5 inch shorter than my current DWS's. If I use the shorter tires, will I need to retune anything on my suspension other than some negative camber? Or will the .5 inch difference just give me some benefit from a lower center of gravity?
