Please remember to post in the right section. This has nothing to do with 2011+ Mustang GTs........ Moved to At The Track.

Driver sucked. Heres a Time Slip from an auto hellcat with stickies. That car is mighty impressive in the hands of the right driver. I'm not even a big fan of dodge, but I like what i've seen with the hellcat thus far.

Yeah, they do. But they base this off the fact they used 109 race gas. I personally don't think it is, though. The stick cars run 10.8's at the track. I don't think it's too far fetched that an Auto, with a good driver, and ideal conditions could land in the ballpark of 10.48 seconds.

No way a 4500 plus car with maybe low 600 whp is trapping almost 134 mph in quarter. Hell a 600-625 whp supercharged Coyotes which weigh 900 plus pounds less barely trap that. Lesson, the Hellcat is not close to stock in weight and or power for that run... Next.

Since nobody has cracked the ECU for the Hellcat, I seriously doubt the car (that trapped 134) had much more power than a factory car. They might have put an exhaust on it, that would likely be it for power.

My guess for it's trap is stickies, weight reduction and good air. The Hellcat is a seriously fast car once it gets it's fat *** moving and can put it's power down.

Doing some research, it looks like that Hellcat was running in good air - DA Calculator for that track on that day, at that time was -112ft.

Stock, the Hellcat is fast enough that it will destroy a C7 Z06 from 80 - 160 easily, stock and put bus lengths on a new Porsche 911 Turbo S from 80 - 160.

Hellcat Test data sheet 15.5 seconds 80 - 160.

C7 Z06 Test data sheet 18.2 seconds 80 - 160.

2014 Porsche 911 Turbo S Test data sheet 15.8 seconds 80 - 160.

Also, stock Hellcats are putting down 640 - 650 hp and around 600 lb-ft at the wheels, totally stock in the automatics.

Getting the power to the ground is a serious problem

With 707 horsepower and street tires it is very hard to get the hellcat moving. Look at the video close and it is obvious that the dodge spun the tires almost the whole 1/4 mile.
The night I ran down at Orlando Speed World there were two GT's that only got into the low 14's because of no traction and driver inexperience. All they both did was fry the tires at the starting line.

Since the Charger & Challenger are going to be full production cars and not limited editions there will be a lot of them on the drag strips in the near future. Then we will see how good they are with the proper people driving them with the proper drag tires.
