1995 E36 M3 vs. 2004 Mustang GT

So my "friends" says his BMW can keep up with me in my mustang. He says bmw's will kill any car from a roll since he says "bmw's are the fastest car 60-120mph."
But regardless of the talking crap here are out mods

M3: 5 speed, k&n filter, headers, mid-pipe, catback, lowered racing springs, canned tune, on nto5r drag radial I think 245 tire.

Mustang: k&n filter, under drive pulley's, 75mm throttle body and plenum, 100 plate wet shot, long tube headers, mid-pipe, cat back dumped off with slp resonators, 24# injectors, aviator fuel pump, Ortiz tuned, 4.10 gears, tokico shocks and struts, polyurethane rearend bushings, and eibach sportline springs, mm caster plates and on NTO5R 315 drag radial.

Of course he is talking about with me without nitrous, track opens in 3 weeks and I see him on facebook buying a nitrous kit. With nitrous I run 10.60s on street tires in 1000' which is about 12.70s area in 1/4 mile. I'm at 370/440 on 100 shot and 270/300 w/o nitrous. Will this race even be close? Lol. Oh since I got radials my times should drop a bit since I had a lot of traction issues last year.

Based on his mods I would think the 370 is with spray. Straight line you will have him but a track is a different story as bmws have exceptional handling but not impressive straight line.

Back in high school I had a ls1 Camaro that was around310 to the wheels It wasn't even a race against my buddies 96 m3. And I believe he had bolt ons as well

Sadly, because the overwhelming majority of Mustangs are slow POS.

If you are running on motor and hes on nitrous, the BMW will demolish you. If you're both spraying, you should be able to get him at the track. From a roll, anything after 120 is likely heavily in his favor with your 4.10's.

A 5 speed GT with 4.10s should top out around 110mph in 4th. At least mine does. Make sure the race goes to 110 and you will be fine.

You can tell him, BMWs are garbage, you repair bill will be a lot cheaper than his if something breaks. And BMW fastest car from X mph to X mph, is a lie...
BMW = Big Waste of Money...

That fact that he thinks a simple K&N Filter is an upgrade tells me he is an Idiot!.. And that alone proves you have him beat!.. 😋 In straight line you have him beat, on a road course there's not much difference between the two!..
