Started local Subaru gang race wars against Mustang GT

So I'm having to race a few Subaru Impreza one being a 2015 STI and a 2005, 2004, and a bug eye. What should I beat? Car was running good ran a bit lean 11.7-11.9 sometimes spiked to 12.3 a/f ratio. Car is running dang good. And the tires seem to hook up pretty dang good.

dude, 11.7 and 12.3 is extremely rich...

14.7 is ideal for fuel economy, and 13.5 is ideal for horsepower..

11 parts air to 1 part fuel is what 11:1 means.

14.7 parts air to 1 part fuel is ideal and is as lean as you want to run it

13.5 parts air to 1 part fuel is ideal for performance.

If you lean your AFR out from 11.9 to 13.5, then you will probably gain noticeable horsepower.

How to "read" an air fuel ratio is as follows

14.7:1 means that there is 14.7 cubic centimeters of air for every cubic centimeter of fuel that you bring in. That cubic centimeter gets turned into mist and disperced throughout that 14.7 ccs of air.

So having more air per cc of fuel you get means that it is leaner. for example in 16:1 mixture, there is 1cc of fuel, and 16 ccs of air. Which is lean

In an 11:1 mixture, you have 11 units of air for every 1 unit of fuel that goes into your engine. That is extremely rich. if your afrs get any more rich, I don't think your car will even run lol. I think fuel physically wont even combust if its richer than like 8:1 with air/fuel

The exception is if you have a LOT LTO LOT of compression and boost. That changes things a little sometimes, but 13.5:1 is still pretty popular. Especially if you are running higher octane fuels. No need to be mixed so rich unless you're on nitromethane or alcohol lol

Bump the nitrous to a 200 shot for the day. You'll be fine.

13.0-13.5 for n/a yeah.. Boost and nitrous you don't want to see 12.0s or you can detonate a motor.

He's running nitrous a 100 shot I think. Well op good luck, hopefully you leave on them off the line that's your only chance. 4wd turbo subarus hook well.

Except that he's spraying. I would never run it that lean.

At stock form, the 04 sti is the fastest Subaru has made. But who knows what's what with their mods. Assuming you won't know.

Most... If they are top mount 18g or below. Front mount 20g or above. Again most. Don't get suckered into 1/8 mile

Tell us how you do

I ran at least 5 tents faster than all the subies talking **** at the track except one and it was running 10.60s with me, but we never got a chance to run. I'm also on my stock clutch and slipping it's balls off so. And one of the subies talking crap got rod knock because he was on e-85. I have the race posted on my Facebook if I'm not already friends with you.
