Fun race against a Camaro SS

Had a fun little race against a 5th Gen Camaro SS that had headers, intake manifold, stall, and drag radials. My 2014 Mustang 5.0 has a CAI, Boss manifold, and tune, still on the stock tires and converter.

His ET was 0.1 seconds faster than mine but I treed him by 0.2 seconds, so I won by 0.07 seconds. His 60' was a lot better with a 1.8 second compared to my 2.1 second, still working on that part (managed to get a 2.050 later).

Thanks, going to keep working on my 60'.

My trap was 112, his was 110. The track is 1165 above sea level and we only have access to 91 octane, hurts performance a little bit. Would love one day to go to the low level tracks to see what it really can do.

Yea it sounds like he got you purely off the launch. You were the faster car.

With the stock converter the Boss Intake does not work well at all on the autos. You need to either go to a much looser converter or back to the stock intake. That's the biggest problem with your 60'.

Stall converter is on the list, need headers too because I'm tired of being the quietest V8 at the track with just my Borla S-Type.

My 60' was actually better with the Boss intake than the stock, 2.054 vs 2.194. That was from last year though and it seems like the track prep is better this year.

Track 10 mins from me is less than 80' above sea level it's where BAMA makes their fast times. Definitely makes a difference I mean not to say their car is slow or anything but it helps.
