How to launch

I'm going to the track tonight for the first time. Any advice on best way to launch? My car is pretty much stock. 14 gt manual.

Do I hold rpm at about 15 and drop the clutch or ease into it? Do I hold the gas to the floor or ease into it?

Talk to people at the strip, they can tell you.

I was in the same situation a week ago. I have never went down a drag strip. I only made five passes. Best result for me so far was hold at 2,000 drop the clutch and easy into throttle with feel of traction. I'm still learning as well if you have any tips let me know.

I revved to about 2300 rpms.. and eased out the clutch ( street tires ) I pulled a 2.00 60 ft.. Could have been better but not bad for street tires
