Got a new competitor against the 2 valve.

So my friends wants to be fast than me, so he's looking at getting a 2008 g8 gt, the car is bone stock auto with 80k miles. I drive a 2004 mustang gt full bolt ons, (stock heads and cams) 100 wet shot on plate, Ortiz tune, some suspension work, 4.10 gears, 31 spline moser axles, and 315 nto5r tires. My car makes ~370rwhp and 440rwtq. Who would win?

You will need the bottle. Even though he is stock. They are no slouch.
Also the g8's get real nasty with a cam and full exhaust.

My buddy with a stock G8 would beat me by a good bus length when I had my full bolt on 2v

May up my shot to a 125 shot. Think the motor will hold?

Doubt it. If you put bus lengths on him on motor, why do you need nitrous

If he gets a torque convertor and a good tuner, you won't stand a chance. If he does long tubes as well, he'll be way ahead of ya

Good tune and a 150 hit. And you will be OK. Just make sure your getting plenty of fuel and the distribution from what ever your running nozzle or plate is good.

I know alot of people running nitrous and have done it for years, no issues with it as long as you have good fuel and good plugs

I have plenty of tr6 plugs and I have 24# injectors and aviator fuel pump. I've heard people blowing out there spark plugs and I thought rods begin to weaken around 400rwhp on a 2v?

A good tune and a 150 should put you slightly over 400, going off your signature. You will be OK with a 150.

Just make sure fuel is spot on and distribution is good. Bad distribution destroys motors easily

My money is on the 2004 Mustang GT 5 Speed Full Bolt On 370rwhp 440rwtq
It has him beat on weight, HP and torque even with his bolt-ons, I bet.
2008 Pontiac G8 GT Curb Wt: 4000lbs
6.0 L L76 V8 (361 hp - 385 lb ft at the flywheel)
(The 2009 G8 GXP = 6.2 L LS3 V8 415 hp)
Now known as the 2014, '15 Chevy SS with LS3 415 HP, 4 dr sedan.

I'm no 2004 GT expert but 370 rwhp and 440 rwtq seems way too high for a 265 HP stock car with just full bolt ons. Even with cams that seems a bit high 440 rwtq to me but I'm no expert. Is this the norm for 04 Gt's with full bolt on's with those gains?

I am the worlds defender of the 3.7 V6 model.

Got a new competitor against the 2 valve.

There's some G8s here now damn good looking sedans. It's awesome that they are nasty stock, and have the potential to be real nasty modded.

Adventure till you drop.

Got a new competitor against the 2 valve.

So he raced a scat pack that I ran in my 2 valve and we were side by side and ran the same times and the scat pack got the g8 by 4 tenths. So I am faster than the g8 with his 224 cam, intake, 3400 stall, and tuned. I bumped up to 125 shot also racing the scat pack.
