Beamer vs Stang

Alright guys my friend is probably getting a 2004 bmw 325i manual for himself and he says he'll take my Stang which is a base 2015 Ecoboost with the 3:31 gears. Who ever wins gets a full tank of gas courtesy of the loser. Who do you all think will win?

Stang hands down. Wish I could see his face when his "ultimate driving machine" gets destroyed by a 4 cylinder

Lol BMW guys think they are royalty. I have seen it go as far as some guy faking a slight brittish accent when the BMW-Syndrome got to his head haha. They really are a mediocre-performing car (Except the M5 and other exceptions)

my 2002 gt would beat him, and your 15 ecoboost would kill my 02.

put some gas cans in the trunk and make him fill those up too.

Thanks guys!!! I can't wait to see his face after the race lol. Ima probably up the stakes now thanks to you all. I'll keep y'all updated on how it goes! By the way his reason for winning the race is because he's got a manual and I have a auto 😂

bahahahahahahahaha, yeah he is dumb. Autos are faster in a straight line. If he can't get that launch down and nail every single shift you have it in the bag. Just practice your launching. On the brake with slight pressure on the gas to tach up the rpms a bit, then let go of the brake and hit the gas.

Order a tuner and it will go from a win to an absolute roflstomping. Funny guy thinks a stick is better in a 1/4 race... lulz.

tuning an auto is the best thing you'll ever do for your car OP. I've had my 93 race tune on my car now for a month from Bama and im absolutely in love. it daily drives so much better and hauls arse when needed. (pardon my french)

Yeah I got that in the bag since I've practiced since I basically got the car so I know the perfect spot it's at about 1 and a half rpm to 2 and she takes off like a beauty.

It took a 125i full bolt ons single turbo set up with down pipes on decently amount of boost and e85 ~425rwhp to pull me, also a 335i full bolt ons and turbo idk what else, but I put lengths on him. Also raced a 1997 m3? With full bolt ons and I killed it without out nitrous. BMW's are slow except for the newer models m4 and m5.. But if this is one of those roll racing events they are quicker from a 60 rolls than a dig race.

You will kill that 325i... Roll or dig.. BMW guys... They think BMW cars are the fastest. They are literally so slow when they get in a quick car like a z06 they think it would be the best drift car "just because it lost traction." And this is a true story sadly....

This shouldn't even be debated. Mustang all the way.

I previously had 2 V8 M3s, and that's a different story. However a 2004 325/328 (E46 chassis), 2008 328 (E92), or even a 2014 (F32) would all lose to a Ecoboost Mustang from a dig or rolling.

The Mustang will completely annihilate the Beamer. Even my 2001 V6 could beat it

Hey guys sorry to keep you waiting he backed out (saw it coming) and now his parents are getting him a 2013 lancer evo. I guess after realizing that the BMW was just to slow he finally decided to get something alittle more worthy should I be worried? I know these ain't anything to laugh at but what should I expect the outcome to be? And side note: another friend in a 2015 Stang V6 wanted to race we did and let's just say that I beat him twice with the first race being in his favor since I accidentally took off in second 😂😂

It should definitely be closer. Though, I still say you'll beat him

I Googled this --- you should destroy him if he is stock.

Best Answer: The previous generation BMW 3 series wasn't so much acknowledged for power but more so for performance in terms of its excellent driving dynamics. Let it be known that the previous BMW 3 series is probably one of the most underpowered luxury cars out on the market although in today's industry the newer BMW's in terms of horsepower have greatly improved. The 2004 BMW 325i sedan composes a small 2.5L V6 Engine producing 184 HP while the 2004 BMW 330i receives a 3.0L V6 225 HP engine which I might add is now standard on the 2011 BMW 328i sedan with a 230 HP engine. So to answer your final question the 2004 BMW 325i has a 0-60 time of 7.2 seconds. The BMW 3 series competes head to head with the Audi A4, Infiniti G, Lexus IS and Mercedes C-class. The class leader in terms of horsepower in the luxury compact sedan segment is the Infiniti G sedan & coupe rated at 280 HP standard for 2004 models.

As for the EVO, you are going to have to be at the very top of your game, as it goes 0 to 60 in 4.9..............and the EB 'Stang does it between 5.0 and 5.2 seconds.

This comparison only works if both people can drive as good as the magazine drivers. Odds are the guy won't be able to launch his evo without bogging real bad.
