Trying different things that aren't working. My 60 foot times have got to be horrible. Lots and lots lot spinning. However I don't know because I'd have to park the car and walk intended the tower to get my slips as the he shed burned up last weekend. Going to have to go easier off the line on the next run. I'm going to try playing with the launch control.

I can't see much on the mobile app, but what size wheels and tires are you using?

Best time so far is a miserable 13.7sec at 107. 60 ft time was 2.24sec. Spinning....

I'm hoping to use launch control on the next run but we're waiting for the track to be cleaned. A civic blew a tranny line and ran the entire length in the right line. He ran out of fluid and came to a stop right in line with the the time screen. Moron.

I hope to get one more run and come in around 13.2sec. That will make me happy.

All that power in the 5.0 demands good tires. But Ford keeps putting the same mediocre ones on the GTs.

Damnit... I need a short throw shifter in this car. Ended up in second instead of fourth at the end. Thank god for rev limiters. Hopefully one more run before I go home with my tail between my legs.

Was much better off the line with launch control. 3000rpm wasn't enough though with the 3.31 gears. Going to set it at 3500 this time.... And not friggin miss fourth gear..

Playing around with all these electronics has me all messed up.

Yea the gearing can be frustrating when trying to bang through them fast. I heard the Ford Racing kit is pretty good for these cars.

I am only doing the steeda transmission bushing insert and Steeda shifter bracket. I also put in the Steeda clutch spring. All that was only like $120. Pretty sweet.

Won't get the super short shifts but they will be very solid. And that is what I want.

I believe the Ford Racing shifter kit is on Sale on AM right now.

So I went to get my last two time slips and someone else took both slips for each race. Are you kidding me! I have no idea how I did. That sucks. Guess I'll have to go back on Wednesday A bunch of other guys said they didn't get all their slips. They better have the shack rebuilt so that stupidity stops.

Went back to the drag strip tonight. Best time was 13.348 seconds at 109mph. I was consistently running 13.5 seconds through 10 runs. I then let the car cool down and ran the 13.348. I think that's all it has in it with the 3.31 gears.

Got the 60ft times consistently between 2.19 to 2.24 and simply couldn't get any lower. I tried heating tires, not heating tires, using launch control at RPM's ranging from 3100 to 3800, not using launch control, shutting off traction control entirely, etc. Was always around 2.2 for 60ft times. When I eventually put the 3.73 gears and slicks I expect to get this down a lot.

I am running consistently 0.06 reaction times. Actually recorded one 0.019 reaction time. I had two redlights that were -0.015 so yes I redlighted but just barely. I realize R/T doesn't change recorded 1/4 time...but I was working to get these as low as possible. I'm very happy with 0.06 average...very happy.

I'll put up a bunch of the slips in the post about building the super snake clone.
