Drag strip questions...

OK, I have gone number of times and do... ok. This is the first time I am going with Drag radials. It is the Street racing made legal PBIR event so busy and sure I won't get many runs. Want to do as best I can.

I have a 2013 GT, Paxton supercharged. at 6850rpm I am at 600rwhp. (didnt want the dyno redlining me, was just crious as to HP). Tremec T56 transmission one piece shaft and UCA, LCA Panhard all are BMR. Will be running 285 40 18 Nitto NT05R first run at 20psi

Questions:
1. Do I burn out in the water or (as I think) dry since radials and not slicks?
2. Estimated Launch RPM? I will be doing on my own no 2-step?
3. Go mostly Full throttle on launch?
4. What would be a good 60 ft. Running 295 30 20 previously I never grip so been 2-2.4 usually.

Any other advice?

With normal front tires you want to pull around water and back tires into it. Do a small but decent burnout.

Start launch at an rpm and move up until you spin.

Go with as much throttle as it will hold.

1.8 would be a good starting point. Alot will depend on suspension mods.

You should have no problem on the top end walking past him with your power.

Thats what I was thinking he is heavier and less HP but I am a little worried about launch control, automatic and AWD. Damn engineering. I told my 17 yr old that my 12 yr old could almost get the same ET as anyone else in a car with all that lol

Sorry for the delay. Work is insane right now!!

The strip got rained out but we stopped on the way home at an 1/8 track closer to home. I won on the 1/8th by .7 seconds and I was pulling away quickly. The Quattro as I expected was awesome off the line while I lost some traction but caight it at about 100ft and was walking it hard after that.

Did have to get towed from the track. Bearrings in a pully went out.

It is so awesome... drove to Tampa (2.5 hrs) Friday, then over to West Palm (3 hours) saturday. Drove home (2.5 hours) on Sunday to the track and made 7 runs. Pully bearring wasnt really race related. Only 25,000 on it. Mechanic said just a bad factory pack job... happens sometimes.

That's what I like to hear (the race stuff, not the crappy puller bearing).
