Tuning?

So I just purchased a 2012 mustang gt, and it has an intake and exhaust. The dealer I bought it from said it was tuned by the previous owner. I want to learn how to retune once I get upgrades, but where should I start? What kind of tuner should I get and how do I start? Newb here sorry!

Was the Tune set back to stock, before you bought it? Did the Tuner come with it? First question was the most important. See what information about the Tuner you can from the Dealership. All in all, you can get it Retuned at anytime, as far as what Tuner to purchase: That's up to you. I use "SCT" Tuner on my Mustang and a "Predator" Tuner on my Wife's Camaro LT. Custom Tune on Mustang. Programed "Performance" Tune on Camaro LT.

I think the tune is still on it? But I'm going to be going catless soon and wanted to get a tuner. Are X4's good? And are they simple to use?

Your going to have Issues. The previous Owner should have set it back to Stock. Your going to be stepping in the Dark, because you don't know what was done to the Car as far as Tunning. Try to find a nearby Performance Shop who have knowledge on Tunes and Tunning, see if they can figure out what was done to it and if it still have the Tune changed in it. Also if they can Custom Tune it. If it was set back to Stock, then you will be starting from scratch, sort of. I hear the X4s are good, mine is the X3.

Get in touch with AED or Lund or MPT tuning. They're going to be your best email tunes by far. Nothing is as good as a local dyno tune though.
