Adding GT500 Heat Extractor to 2012 V6 Hood?

Hey all, this is probably a question for my friendly neighbourhood bodyman, but I'd like to dress up my hood without a giant crazy scoop. I really like the heat extractor / front vent that the GT500 uses it seems a little more understated. Found this on ebay...

Brand New Hood Scoop Assembly 2010 2013 Ford Mustang Shelby Cobra GT 500 | eBay

Wondering if anyone has cut their hood to add vents already, and specifically if anyone knows if the 2012 V6 hood shape would accommodate this piece?

Any experience/ thoughts?

I believe a user named Sanguin did this very thing. I'm not sure how active he is anymore, but you might try contacting him.

His is sweet. I like it. Do it right, and it should be great for a decent price. I am not fond of aftermarket hoods.

His was on a 2013 though, so it didn't have the hood bulge like the 2010-12 hoods.

True, but the premise is the same, you could still make it work.

I just meant that it may look odd with both the extractor and the hood bulge

That is a good point. With the bulge, it may not lay flat and it may need extra work. Either bending the part, or grinding/flattening the hood.
