Engine swap help.

Hi. Before you anyone says save your money and buy a GT. I'm getting motor given to me me and paying 100 for the transmission from my best friend.

Anyway I have a 01 3.8L getting a 3v 4.6 from a 2010. Just looking for some help with what all I need. I know harness, cluster, new mounts. What else do I need. Sorry if there's a thread on this. If so shoot me the link. Thanks

The most economical way to do this swap is to have the whole car to scavenge parts from because you're going to need a lot of parts from the 2010... From the computer to the accelerator pedal.
You're going to need a lot of patience as well.

Thanks. Gotta couple buddies that will at junk yards so pulling some parts shouldn't be too hard. Appreciate the response.

You're also going to need to upgrade your current suspension in order to handle the extra weight in the front for the bigger motor, and if I were you I'd think about doing brakes as well, but thats just my two cents. Good luck with the swap!!!

Thanks. Yeah I was planning on doing that. I'm not a big fan of the normal brakes anyway. So definitely getting an upgrade.
