Possible Throttle Lag Fix

I read a little trick on another forum yesterday about how to help reduce throttle lag. It seemed to help my car out a bit. Look at the attachment to see what I'm talking about. Here's the original thread.

Does this work even if you already have cai and tune?

Not sure if it even worked to begin with or if it's just a fluke. Seemed to do something at least

Now just add a cai and a tune and you'll really feel the difference!

Tried it this morning on my '14 GT and it does seem to have fixed the lag problem for now.

Awesome! Glad somebody else got some results from this. Wasn't sure if I was feeling a placebo effect or if it really helped

Yeah, I'd say that if you can do a tune, that's your sure-fire fix. Between that an the throttlebody, my throttle isn't quite "touchy" but it is definitely super-responsive.

Yeah that's what I figured. Shortly after making this thread I bought a tuner and it's a night and day difference.

I recommend pulling fuse #47 for 10 minutes to remove throttle lag and make your car more responsive.

#47, that's for the adaptive learning? Will it work with a tune or cause any issues if I try it?

After a good tune, you won't need to pull the 47 fuse anymore.

Does anyone own or driven a Mustang with the JMS PEDALMAX installed?

PedalMAX - PX-5000-1114F Eliminate Ecoboost Turbo Lag and Enhance the Pedal on any 2011-2015 Ford Vehicle

Looks interesting and perhaps a solution to the throttle lag issue without resorting to a tune.

It's only fun for maybe a few days, your car then does its adaptive learning thing and its back to square one. I mean yeah it does continues to feel "comparatively" more responsive from a dig than before. A good alternative to a tune if someone wants to preserve their warranty.

I'm tuned, so this is what I noticed:

1) it sort of fawked with my shift points. Car would take longer to downshift if I gave her gas. I know this because my tune is setup to downshift quick.

2) it made throttle response between 2000-2800 a touch laggy. But it was definitely more responsive from a dig.

Be better suited to a manual car in my opinion.
