Sct question (data logging)

I have a new ticking/clacking that had started in my 4.6l, hard to actually pin point where it is coming from, is there something I can run through data logging to try and identify the issue.. It's bad enough that I do not drive my stang do to if it's something real bad, I don't want it to lock up.. How ever it's not a knocking noise, more so a tick, like a rocker, lifter type noise.. I had data logged misfires, and nothing popped up, any suggestions or help would be awesome.. Thanks

Woooot!!!!!

Sounds like it could be a cracked header.. Probably the passenger side. I dunno if your car is like the new edge but we typically get a cracked exhaust manifold from dripping ac lines i believe.... Gives it a ticking noise that sounds like a stuck lifter.... Just an idea...

Ya, I think it coming from bank 2, driver side, my stang don't have any ac lines on it, it has everything for ac just not the lines.. I put half can of seafoam in it this morning, it quieted the ticking down, but really no change.. I'm gonna take my valve pan off and check it out when I get a chance..

Or maybe some ne marvel mystery oil or heavier weight oil if it's engine related.

Well it's not a stuck lifter, I'm now leaning more towards the problem being with the flywheel..

Nope wasn't the flywheel, I pulled the motor, took off valve pans and oil pan and I've not seen anything out of order, except for a tiny pencil eraser size piece of metal stuck to the screen on the bottom the oil pick up tube.. Nothing seems to have any play in it, no signs of metal to metal contact anywhere.. I'm completely stumped..:/
