My mustang has no power

When i accelerate my rmps just get really high but my car doesnt feel like it goes u know? I just put in 3.73 gears and i thought that would help but it didnt do as much as i thought it would. Please help! It bugs me soo much cuz my car looks and sounds mean but it doesnt act like it. Its just a v6 but i know it can push more than what it is now.

Sounds like a clutch problem to me, is your car a automatic or manual??

Put your car in fourth gear and rev the engine to about 1800 rpm's, then release the clutch normally, like you would from a typical stop. If the car starts "bucking" and tries to die, that's good. If the car acts like it wants to start moving, and the rpm's remain about the same, without dropping off sharply, that means your clutch is worn out and needs to be replaced.
