Removing window louvers

My new to me 2014 came with black side window louvers and I would prefer to have the Eleanor style ones instead.
I had them previously on a 2011 and they installed with 3M tape which is pretty strong. I'm not sure if the tape bonded with just the glass or the paint around it.- I think the paint.
What's the easiest way to remove the current ones with destroying the louvers or my car?

Hopefully its the window, easy enough to check. Get a flashlight and check from the inside. If its stuck to the window, hit it from the inside with a hairdryer on high for a few minutes first. Then try to peel up an edge and get some strong fishing line under it. That should be the hard part.

I think you should leave them. They look good on that car with the rear window cover. But heat is your friend. Hair dryer or heat gun then fishing line. I'd throw painters tape around it just in case. It's cheap insurance.
