Looks exactly like the 10-12 with a new front fascia. Looks good but it's not a new design.

Re: New Concept!!!

That pretty much looks like my '13 with a different hood & front fascia (picks up the new grille shape). Looks good, but I doubt this will be the new car.

Looks way better than a 13. Looks like a 10-12 with bigger hips.

I like it because it still looks like a stang.

They need a bigger change than just that. Kind of like how drastic the change was in 05

They are planning the 'Evos concept'. The stand is basically the flagship for non-trucks, so this will hit the mustang more than anything else... If you google the concept (or look at the recent released Fusion) you'll see we have a cheap Aston Martin look with IRS and very likely a v6 ecoboost.

I'll get flamed on that last part, but watch... V8 for a couple years then phased out (with a few lower-than-the-Eco horse 'special editions' till about 2019) and the company will avoid paying fines for missing CAFE standards.

You can google the concept, ford actually has a site orphaned from ford.com that is dedicated to the idea

I suspect Ford will continue with its Evos transition as it has done with the Taurus, Focus, and other cars... Which I dont mind (especially on the Focus).

Not sure if it will translate well to the mustang... Well see.

I saw a concept somewhere that made it look like a crossfire. Not my thing I guess. Let muscle look like muscle and the little sport cars do there own thing.

Re: New Concept!!!

you can only regurgitate the same old styling so many times... eventually its going to have to go a more modern way. i don't like it, but its true

As someone who was leaning towards the Camaro in terms of looks, the '13 refresh is one of the things that helped put me into my new Mustang.
I kinda like the red concept, even if it does remind me of Mr. Sinister from the X-Men...

i think it looks good but it does look a little too similar to the current. as long as the new model remains faithful to its heritage and when you see it it says "im a mustang mother&$@" ill be happy. i just hope they dont throw something out thats ridiculously alien

Using the new body like a remodel or something of the fast backs? If so they need to do that for fox body's then move up the generations until the new edge

There will be no retro to any model. They have said they are looking for a global platform, that's the companys new concept. It'll have the three vertical taillight reference and the long hood front and a pony on the grill. I think that will be the only recognizable aspect it being a mustang.

Evening everyone. See attached. Last year, I posted basically what every media outlet has been reporting over the last 18 months or so.

The latest cover of Car & Driver is the closest interpretation of the real thing--I've seen the clay buck--and the C&D article pretty much sums up what the general public will see in April 2014. MY2015 will have an independent rear suspension; at least one 4 cylinder model offered and the Recaro seat option will return on premium models.

See attached. You're welcome
