it's rumored that the new SVT will have a 5.2L voodoo coyote with twin turbos making anywhere from 550-600 HP.

is also rumored to be coming in the next few years stock, instead of the Aluminator XS aftermarket, the engine I just mentioned for the SVT will be called the voodoo, and is based off, but is not, the coyote, it will also have a slightly higher displacement of 5.2L

I guarantee the prices are increasing and my gt I bought in 2012 is gonna be like 48-50k or more, which is was 45k, 41900 out the door.
They said they were going to make the f150 tremor more affordable, it starts at 44k. I should just buy a raptor, or go buy a piece of land and build a house. Ford is getting too expensive!!

The photo renderings are terrible compared to the spy photo of the car with the camo peeled off. I think the front end on the upcoming looks great and is a modern/revised version if the 99-04--which is pretty slick. My only concern is the taillight treatment too...hopefully they don't F-it up.

Regarding engine options.

The current 5.0 V8 will have more power but will remain largely unchanged in the base (volume) GT. The big news is the rumored flat plane V8. This engine will reside in the new Mach 1/Boss 302 or 351 as a naturally aspirated unit. It will also be twin turbocharged and will replace the current trinity V8 in the GT500. The emphasis on the MY2015 car is driving dynamics (handling) as well as fuel economy and the Trinity V8-being supercharged-is not only heavy but carries that weight on top affecting handling. The MY2015 car also has a lower hood line and having a big supercharger on top is a design constraint--especially if aftermarket tuners add a bigger unit, they will need a high cowl hood. A higher hood line also affects aerodynamics which directly affects fuel efficiency. With turbos there is more flexibility with tuning, weight distribution and fuel economy and of course design. I guess we'll see in a few months. A flat plane V8-turbo or not-is pretty exciting stuff!! Let's keep our fingers crossed...

Mach 1 isn't coming until MY2018. Were getting a GT350 instead. But you're right about the main focus being on handling and fuel economy. The new GT with track pack is suppose to out perform the 2013 Boss 302.

They will turbo. Superchargers and Ford are going to be a thing of the past it take power and more gas to run a supercharger as compared to a turbo. Ecoboost is all Ford cares about. The turbo voodoo will be a reality and will get decent gad milage too.

Turbo seems the way to go.... Making tons of power without all of the lag of past.

They offer a twin, I'm getting one!

Everything you said can be found in articles about the 2015 Mustang. Its interesting that Ford is looking at a flat V8, from what I have read it two 4 bangers sharing a crank. Most of the high end supercars do this now.

I think its great if Ford moves in this direction. I would not hold your breath. We most likely will see a turbo 4 banger and a twin V6...

I didn't say for sure about the flat plane V8, but I did say there will be no supercharger with one V8 engine version being n/a and another being twin turbo....that was the intention behind the 'read my post'

I have mixed feelings about this. It looks good in the sense of well, it looks good. But for me it doesn't scream mustang as much anymore. But I'm sure it'll grow on me

How do we know what it screams? Ford hasn't released the cars photos. We don't know what the car exactly looks like. Your basing your conclusion on rumor renders of the car but not saying it. Your just saying it doesn't scream mustang as much and yet we don't know what it looks like. Were all clueless and gossip filled and no facts.

That is very true! But based off what I've seen so far isn't what I was hoping for if that makes sense. Haha. I mean I don't hate it by any means. I just hope things are different from most of the renderings. That's just my take on it. Hopefully it does look good!
