When the rumors of the '05 were spreading, I couldn't wait for it to hit the streets. I never cared for the new edge body style. I'm a big guy and I felt stuffed in when I borrowed an '01 v6 to go out of town in.

If that's what the next gen looks like, to me at least it's the least dramatic change I can remember. A fox body looks nothing like an sn95. Sn95 to new edge was just a re skin, more or less. Then the 05 came out. Complety, unmistakabley different. I look at that pic, and I basically see a new edge s197, so to speak. Looks to have same basic proportions. A few more sweeping lines. Some new headlights. Fenders flare out a bit more. Open grille. No big deal. Safe in a way. It'll look good. People will buy that car. It's modern and sporty looking. The kids will love it if that is what hits showroom floors

They are going fir younger population that drives the si's and wrx's with the euro body styling but keeping some classic mustang in it for the loyal mustangs owners too

If I were CEO of Ford, that's exactly what I would do, and that exactly what that car looks like to me. Old meets new. The enthusiasts grow to like it, and the kids line up to buy it. In theory at least

Im mean id buy it but i love my new edge body style, i think it has all the looks of a sports car with the american muscle, i think thats how this 15 was designed.. Its literally the new edge s197 thats was a great way to explain how this style should be
And the more i look at it the more i actually love the styling and how it just looks outright mean and just really to tear you apart

That's a huge grill ..

They ruined the front of the car. The rest of the car, however, looks good.

I want to see interior pics.

I like it, just think the front bumper should be a lil shorter

---------- Post added at 06:49 PM ---------- Previous post was at 06:48 PM ----------

Whether a good look for a mustang or not, still a good looking car in general

I do have to agree with some of the others, the more I think of it as a Stang the more it grows on me. I will stay happy with my 2014 Stang though as the 2015 model doesn't scream "Mustang" to me yet.

That's old. That was on Mustang6g about a month ago, a member made it. He's working on an updated version. I'll post it here when it's done.

That's from the same designer. He posted the blue one and that one together.

Yeah I had a feeling. I think it looks pretty badass. I just don't like how the headlights are so thin.

I don't know how close that rendering is to what will actually hit the show room floors. To be honest, I would be hard pressed to create a better looking version than what exists right now. Sure, I would hope they beef up the motor, you just can't have enough HP but asthetically, I'm really curious how they are going to top the 2013-2014 models.

You know, one thing I hate about the new mustangs are their UGLY REAR ENDS. They need to stick to one rear instead of constantly changing them, in fact why not just go back to the good ole day when the fast backs were around, also the days when everything was made of metal and not cheap plastic from china, am I right?

Umm.. the 13/14 rear end is beautiful, I don't know what you're talking about.

Given this car will be sold in Europe the design makes perfect sense. Not a classic muscle car look, but it works.

True muscle cars don't have a European butt, I expected more from ford but once again they keep taking other people's idea instead of going back to our AMERICAN ideas= MUSCLE LOOKS

---------- Post added at 02:10 PM ---------- Previous post was at 02:10 PM ----------

The new lightening even looks like garbage

At the end of the day it's about one thing, and that's money. They want this car to appeal to Europeans as well as Americans. Regardless this design will most likely make them more money than any other mustang because its being sold on a much larger platform.
