Shame the switches for driving controls only come on the Premium. Seems less likely to be used. Not worth 4k+ to me. Great handling, though, felt very tight and well built. The cabin has a great feel to it, VERY obvious they actually sat in there and thought about the experience of a driver*. Though the seats are made for string beans. If you've ever done a pull up in your life, you will be uncomfortable.

There is some weird stuff, like switching the lock box to the glove box vs center console. If you want to get there, it is a huge reach. The left knee slide box is great for a spare mag, I guess, but very cheap. The non leather seats seem so strange of a material. The front seats are VERY busy- they ALL have electric control, no option for mechanical, and then these little floppy pieces of fabric (I imagine for the belt), then a chunk of plastic on the side to adjust it, and a chunk on the back to ad just it. Wtf? It looks very busy.

I won't get started on the auto. Let me just say, Ford said they wouldn't put flappy paddles in until it was good enough for the Mustang. WHAT IN THE WORLD WAS THE LAST FLAPPY TRANSMISSION LIKE?!?!?

overall a good experience, just get a standard, and the rest is a little quirk or a perk.

*For example, the center console now has constant showing cup holders. No way to hide them like 14. BUT, unlike 14, the arm doesn't fall into them when they are open. It is barely noticeable they are there.

I should be getting call backs for the T4MT, and premium, to test drive when they come in.

Luke 11:9-10 “So I say to you ...*search and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.

I think you guys are too damn hard on the auto tranny. I thought it was great. I don't care for paddles, so I didn't touch them much. The sport and performance modes provided plenty of spit and vinegar for a passenger car in my eyes. I'm mean, it's not a freakin' super car with a 20,000 transmission. Let's be real.

I thought the clutch was insanely light, but I'm used to my very manly Mach 1 with a clutch cable setup.

I find the interior very user friendly, the steering wheel has a lot going on but the layout works. All the knobs and switches have a good solid feel to them. Everyone keeps comparing the front to the fusion, you can look at just about any car made these days and compare to the rest of the cars from that manufacturer and see the same thing.

Paddles are a gimmick IMO. Only really good for the circle track and you might as well get a M6 if that's your goal. Best thing to do for the 1/4 is to tune the computer and let it do all the shifting for you.

No, they aren't. They're both S197 platforms, but that's about where the similarities end. Completely different motor and transmission options for both the V6 and the GT. The suspension was tweaked, and the interior was revamped as well.

Well, I did it-

I test drove a 2015 5.0 automatic with 3.31 rear and track pack. It was a prenium model with the touch screen and I learned something.
I owe a big time apology to SOCCERLOVER4
The touch screen does have a voice control system and you never have to take your eyes off the road. It worked really great in the 2015.

The car was comfortable, Powerful, rode nice and I liked everything about it except for two things they did.
First- Exposed the cup holders and eliminated the extra covered storage on the console. ( I don't allow drinking or eating in my car at all)
Second They moved the power plug from up near the top of the dash down so now ya got a stupid wire hanging from your Garmin GPS or other plug in device.

Other then those two things I really liked the 2015 Mustang.
If you don't get the touch screen system the Shaker radio still has knobs and buttons and a serius radio option.

I liked the 2015 but the big problem for me is I still LOVE my 2012 3.7 V6 Automatic MCA. This is one Mustang that will be hard for me to trade in in ten or twelve more years.
Ronnie

PS: Ok SoccerLover4-You can say "I TOLD YOU SO " Ha ! Ha!

Nice review Ronnie!

FYI - they don't make the '15 with the Performance Pack in auto, unless you buy a LE one. And PP equipped cars come with 3.73's too.

Did you try the paddle shifters at all?

$13k is a lot. Also, you'll have to de-mod before you get rid of your current stang to keep from loosing you butt on it. If you can't beat a Boss around the track, then it's not better than a stock 2015 5.0. Just saying

First off, $5K is either an amazing steal, or something was majorly wrong with it...or its got a hell of a lot of miles on it. Second, those car ads you posted are extremely overpriced. And that claim about it being better than any stock newer one is hard to believe when the new GTs come with a lot more power and torque compared to the older models. Are you F/I or spraying, because that's pretty much what you need to back that claim with the confidence your putting into your posts. I've owned a full bolt-on '05 GT, currently own a full bolt-on 3.7, and my buddy I ride with had a '13 GT with just a tune. I can say my current 3.7 is about on par with where my '05 GT was. The '13 with JUST a tune, is a beast compared to both.

Thanks Clink

I read Track Apps on the window sticker and I guess I had a brain Fart.

It did have the different modes when hitting the togle switch.
It was also a 3.15 ratio rear.
This is the window sticker.

I've seen a few around town. I still double take and think, was that a mustang? It just doesn't jump out there. I remember when the S197's first came out. It was instantly, hey look a new Mustang.

yeah; i asked why everyone loved the 5.0 so much, because I don't see how you guys can justify such a major increase in the amount that Ford & the dealers charge & how much you pay, to how little of an increase in improvements.
'cause i was looking at a 2014 & it was $20,000 more than mine was for $5,000 & I would rather spend that extra $15,000 on upgrading my car's performance, instead of a foam steering wheel with a few extra buttons on it; Bluetooth, & a different styled front & rear

Does not answer my question. What is done to your car to have 13,000 under the hood. Mod for mod?

And improvements for what? The 5.0 has more than enough improvements over any gt ever made to justify the cost.

You are in Canada so your prices are dumb. 47k can get you a gt with every option possible besides the glass roof, and it is worth every penny of it in my opinion. Still don't understand how you spend 13k in mods on a v6

A few things....... You bought yours used, so there is a major price drop right there compared to buying new.

You should also be comparing your V6 to other V6s if you want it a fair comparison.

Also, you live in Canadia land, all the prices of anything are F'ed up there.
