Wonder how it handles? If they took 200 lbs off the front, curious if that was to try and offset some of the weight increase from the IRS. If optimal weight distribution is 50/50, a move like this would make some sense...

If you ask me that sh*t looks awesome, I think once you see one decked out with tinted windows wheels etc...it will grow on some.

I love how the rear quarter window looks, tinted in that pic.

The earlier spy photos left me worried that it was going to be a 2-door Taurus, as Lowflyin and TommyV noted. So I rushed out and ordered a 2014. Phew! Good call.

@ skl1cent: Yep, Tiburon rear end--I see it. Maybe they hired Hyundai designers.

It must suck to be a hard working designer, spend years designing a car and then have enthusiasts be less than elated with your work.

I think the bigger story on this next generation stang will be the 4 banger turbo. I predict Ford will sell more 4 banger units in US sales over the 3.7 and 5.0 units. Not combined but more units than the other two engine options. People who are huge fans of turbos know you can't beat a factor turbo set up compared to a aftermarket turbo setup. This car will sell well especially with the ricer ,4 banger turbo enthusiasts. Sure someone who only thinks a mustang should be a V8 will only buy V8 but a V6 guy will easily turn to a 4 banger turbo if it's faster and better fuel mileage. I think that's gonna really take off and shine. A car that can be easily modified to handle more boost to an already factory turbo will sell. My guess its the WrX, Sti and Mitts Evo market Ford will tap into and there will be a zillion aftermarket kits and mods for it.
Not sure what numbers the 4 banger will have but if its rocking 310 HP and 36 mpg highway, look out sales.

I'm just guessing. I have no idea what numbers mpg it will get. Ford advertises the 3.7 gets 31 mpg so a 4 cylinder could easily get 35 to 36 mpg. That's realistic. That combined with a 310 HP turbo and you have sales sales sales.

After just seeing the official ford video on Facebook I'm even more disappointed. No way I trade in my 13 gt for this. It looks like everything else out there. What a drag

Ford mustang released a video of the new mustang on Facebook. It's was a GT and holy shut it's so ugly. The GT in the back... Like nothing in the car is nice. I thought I liked the back but with the GT.. Just ew. This thing screams foreign, which is literally anti mustang. This is a ricer, not American muscle/pony car. I'm so disappointed with this new mustang. The only good thing will be the performance.

Lmao we posted at the same time about the same thing. Looks like I'll be getting a 14 when I get out if college instead of a 15-16. So sad, but damn it's ugly.

Bye bye live axle... multi link rear for 2015. Also looks like the 2.3l eco gets 305hp. V8 sticking at 420.

---------- Post added at 12:14 AM ---------- Previous post was at 12:13 AM ----------

Drivers will have three engines to choose from: updated versions of the current 3.7-liter V6, which gets a projected 300 horsepower, and 5.0-liter V8, with 420 horsepower, as well as a new 2.3-liter EcoBoost four-cylinder that gets a projected 305 horsepower. Ford will also offer updated six-speed manual and automatic transmissions. Final numbers for horsepower and fuel economy will be released later

---------- Post added at 12:15 AM ---------- Previous post was at 12:14 AM ----------

I guess its 11th hour speculation, but possible close to accurate.
