My only complaint about the entire car is the automatic shifter knob. It's way to tall and awkward. I would prefer a short, stubby one. It would look better and you could reach the toggle switches better.

The rear is completely devoid of any styling.

Hate the rear...love the rest....rear is too bulbous/rounded...should've been closer in shape to the 99-04...at least it would've matched the front end...rear seems out of proportion...

I agree. Usually it takes time to grow on everyone and once they see it in person many opinions change.

Saw it on the morning show the only thing I liked was the interior and that red. HDTV does much better than a picture. In person it will not look much better!!! Ford has confirmed my 14' purchase. Looks like a Nissan Altima coupe and a Hyundai Genesis coupe with a hint of Ford Fusion. Sorry that is what I see. I see a car to make Europe happy more so than the people who made the Mustang what it is.

My problem with the new design is this: it looks like the designers combined an Audi,fusion,370 z, BMW, and the fast back mustang and threw it all together. It tries to be a global design(which it does accomplish) but the same time waters down what we all know and love as the American iconic car that it is. I guess I'll just have to get used to it.

I think overall the car is an improvement. We got some of the interior things we asked for, the performance should be better and the styling although not for everybody still has some heritage. I think what everyone needs to remember is that in any car you'll be able to see cues from past cars, especially popular models and body lines. It is almost impossible to create a new car and not resemble something.

What a shame. Another reason to not upgrade to the new models.

After seeing it on tv, I changed my tune. Nowhere near as good looking as the 13-14, but it is one sexy car... frankenford or not

Right...

I love the looks inside and out of my 14' I do like the looks of the 15' but it does not give me the feeling I want to trade my 14' in. To me it is a failure, but a good looking failure. LOL

I feel the same exact way. Good looking 2015 model. Unfortunately, a failed attempt to be original but yet still great looking. Certainly would not trade my 11 in for it but again real nice looking car.

Its not a die for must have design I thought Ford would of come up with. Ford set the bar so high and so much hype on this car, it just fell flat.

I've changed my tune too! After seeing it, I'm digging it. I can't explain it but the front end makes sense evolving from the '14. I wonder if they'll make aftermarket grilles that will put the original style fog lights back in the grille?

Shelby is out from what I heard. As for the Ford factory aspect of the Mustang.

Hopefully, all models will get a little better gas mileage.

As far as I'm concerned, the Mustang died with this release. It's a nice looking car, but this is not what a Mustang should be, sorry. Ford f'ed this up. The headlights are terrible. The front end screams Ford Fushion, the rear is just an eye sore. How does Ford go from the 10-14 style to THIS? Oh well. I guess you can say I'm relieved. Relieved that I won't have the urge to want another Mustang. My next new vehicle will be a truck, and likely a Chevy truck at that, as the Ford trucks keep looking uglier as well. I'll keep my '13 GT, garage kept and covered, driven for pleasure.

Seriously... It's called a Honda or a Smart car or a Scion Xb or Xa or whatever. That's the "mustang" people really want when they talk about better gas mileage.

My first reaction was that it looks a bit like a cross between the Fusion and a BMW. It's a nice looking car for sure, but not what I think of when I think Mustang. I don't really see much of the "lineage" that they're claiming that being said I'll be keeping my 05 GT
a true heritage Mustang Fastback GT.

I think Ford is gonna be a little surprised, I don't think this car is going to sell like the last generation. Remember all the hype for the 2005 release, and they lived up to it. I remember saying "Wow!" When they release that '05 and it really got the Mustang back on my radar. Then the 2011's came out I did a double Wow and I really wanted one! Then the 2013 came and I said Holy s*** I have got to have one! This 2015 has nothing of the reaction the previous generation had. Oh well. Now I almost wanna un-mod my car and go back to factory grille and fog lights lol.

Maybe it won't be as popular in the US, but remember Ford is selling this new Mustang internationally I believe. It still has old school muscle styling cues and a few touches of modern and European styling, so maybe it'll appeal to a larger audience.
