How valuable is the first production 2015 Mustang? To one Texas Ford dealer, it's worth $300,000.

Business at Sam Pack Auto Group must be great, because the dealer's owner had no trouble bidding on the red GT coupe for 10 times its estimated retail price. Ford sold it at the Barrett-Jackson auctions in Scottsdale, Ariz., over the weekend. All of the proceeds went to diabetes charity JDRF, formerly known as the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, and no auction fees went to Barrett-Jackson.

Ford hasn't announced pricing for the new Mustang, and likely won't until the car's 50th anniversary in April. Most Ford dealers won't see them until the fall.
