I'm sure most of us are excited that the mustang is becoming a world wide car. That means great things for ford in the future and the continuation of the mustang or many years to come.

Your post is very hard to decipher. But from what I think you said, the new Mustang is several 100lbs lighter and approx 450hp for the GT so yea I think a *** whoopin is coming for the 2011-2014 Mustangs, including mine.

I heard 450 but even if its 430 and several 100lbs lighter it will be quite a bit faster than the 11-14 Mustang's however you wanna look at it.

Ford hasnt released any "official" numbers.

So it's not going to compete with the GT, probably smart on Fords part. It's just going to be an economy option on the V6 trim package? So the question is how much better mpg is the turbo vs. the V6? If its not much better, then why bother with the turbo? Just to appease the international market, maybe.

All these upgrades sure sound like an extra 30HP to me.
450 HP is VERY possible plus a few hundred pounds lighter
= FAST AS HELL. Still not sold on the front EURO / FUSION look
though. Back however looks great and the fast back window ????
but they had to change it's like in the sixties some years looked
amazing example 67-68 Fastback GT some not as nice.

For me personally looks are 90% of purchase decision HP 10%
because HP can always be added but body style cannot be changed.

Have you tried opening your eyes? Lol jk but seriously dude. It may not be retro but it still has Mustang cues!

Shark nose grille, check.
Fast back shape, check.
"Gills" (in this case, light bars) in the headlights, check.
Tri-bar tail lights, check.
Optional V8 power, check.
Plus all the cues on the interior!

The 2015 is seriously growing on me. I can't wait to see how they improve on the new generation styling in the coming years.

In other news, Shares of SOAPBOX skyrocket, as Many 2011-14 mustang owners scramble to purchase their very own soapbox, to preach how their generation is better than the 2015 mustang.

Oh, not better. The 2015 mustang will definitely be the most advanced , best handling mustang ever produced. Looks and design wise, that's a pony of a different color.

That may be the case sometimes, but not always. I enjoy hanging onto cars until they become Collectors. I don't care that my 2012 is not the latest generation. Heck, the 2013 was already a different looking car than 2012. I just don't care for the front end on the 2015. Too similar to the Fusion. The Mustang should look like no other Ford produced.

I'm the 2nd owner of my '79 T/A and have owned it since 1989. I've owned my '95 T/A since 2003. Next year I put the Collector plates on that car. I have no intentions of dumping the Mustang either.

Well, hopefully with all the criticism that ford gets from their body style they'll find ways to improve and implement the original design of the mustang. I for one am very impressed on their improvements of the coyote engine, but like everybody else, dissapointed in what it rides in.

Just bustin' your chops fellas. I personally like the 2015, just pointing out that a significant portion of current gen owners like to bash the new model. People are bastardizing it like it's the next Mustang ll. but out with the old, In with the new i guess. The design will change on this car. I can almost guarantee it. Ford started the 2014 mustang back with the 05. Progressively improved it until it morphed into the 11/12, then into the 13/14. They did it with the Sn95 cars, transforming it eventually into the new edge. I'm confident ford will play the people pleaser, and gradually do the same with the new ones.

I think just changing that hood would make a big difference. Get those body lines off of there and put a cowl on it or something.
