2015 Mustang at dealers

I think the grill on the 15's looks like the maw on a whale shark. We old school mustang owners are experiencing the same WTF was Ford thinking like they must have when the 71 tuna boat 'Stang or worse the Mustang II came out. Ford was losing sales to the Camaro and felt it had to do something dramatic, only time and sales numbers will tell if they made the right decision.

Not sure if anyone is aware of this.

While they will be limiting the top "anniversary" model to 1964 cars. You can get the 50th Anniversary package ($1800) on other cars, so cars which LOOK like the 50th anniversary edition will not be that limited or unique! If I was ordering a 2015 I'd get a GT Premium with the 50th Anniversary package, and save the premium they're raping people, and get those wheels that I really like in that package.

GT Premium 50th Anniversary
GT Premium

Ecoboost Premium

Same here on the 14, it was buy now or who knows when. Ive always loved mustangs but when they came out in 05 I really wanted one. I procrastinated and when I saw what the 15 looked like I decided I had to have the 14. Not that I don't like the 15, it's just that I prefer the look of the 05- 14's over the 15. If they had been sold out of 14's I might have waited another year or two and bought a 16 or 17.

Back in 2010 when the mustang had a refresh I didn't like the back at first but it grew on me. Same with the the 15. But I did buy a 10 and last week traded it in for a race red 15 premium gt. So far I love it. Big improvement over the 10.

I hate the taillights. Don't like em on the 65, don't like em on the 15.

You really have to take into account Ford is deep in the Euro market and the styling reflects. The car is designed to be globally competitive. U.S. retro muscle guys are a small piece of the pie.

We are bad for PR too, all we do is drive like hooligan's, date strippers, and bash their new customer base!

I would almost bet that when the GT350 hits the market a large majority will be sold outside the USofA. With the 5.2l and flat crank it should sound more like a Ferrari than a Ford, which will really appeal to the Euro crowd.

I looked at the GT500 before I bought mine, but the cost of $50k+ for a 12/13 with very low miles was more than I wanted to spend. I did find a 2010 for less than $40k with 15K miles.

I seem to see a couple of 15's almost every day now. I kinda like them, but don't plan on getting rid of my '13 anytime soon.

To those who are going to look at GT500s when the 350 drops... save some $$$ and look for a 11/12 or even a 2010 or earlier if you don't care about the iron blocks. Any 07-12 GT500 can be turned up to 750whp with relatively little in the way of mods. Unsure who the hell needs more than that for a street car.

Coming from an drag racer, "You can never have enough HP", the only issue with the Mustang is how to transmit the HP to the pavement..............IMHO

Well big hp #'s don't mean ****. The way the power builds and curve etc is what matters.
I have taken down plenty of gt500's making anywhere from 60 - 100 hp more than I did.

Again, from a guy whos has 35 years of drag racing under his belt, HP doesn't mean anything, it's TQ that makes you go fast. If you have 750HP and only 500lbft of TQ, my little 640HP Maverick will be 2 car lengths in front of you before you clear the 60' mark.

Wow, 650lbft TQ is quite a number. My 408 only makes 28lbft of torque more at 5700rpm. I'd certainly like to hear more about that motor!
My 97 lost its ring lands at 18psi...........and managed to limp home from Seattle, WA to Portland, OR............those DOHC motors were plenty tuff.

That was on the stock motor. And pump gas. It was 611hp and 650 tq back then

Now it's a built motor. Still a 5.0 just 11.5 compression, Manley rods, diamond pistons, slight head work, the nitrous has been taken of the car as of right now.

2012 5.0. That was with a offroad x pipe, catback, boss intake, JLT, and a 200 shot of nitrous on 93 octane.

The built motor made a little over 700 on e85 b4 the bottle came off.

Oh, ok, I wasn't getting the 611HP from a naturally aspirated motor.............with the 200 shot I understand. The 650lbft of TQ from a stock 5.0l motor is just incredible!
Did you ever take it to the drag strip?, I'd expect solid 10 second
runs.............(with suspension work) although the car weighs a ton.
