RASPY

i checked out a 15 GT yesterday and wtf the exhaust sounds disgusting and everyone was standing around smiling and nodding like its the most epic thing ever... is this whats going to be cool from now on? what did they do to my stang?

is the stock setup an x-pipe or some kind of pro chamber? the GT sounds like a raspy v6 with flowmasters :/

im hoping to keep my car for life but i wouldnt mind one day getting a 2010 GT just to have they beautiful 4.6 note with modern curves....but i guess the main reason i like my 06 is for the classic muscle look...hopefully one day again in the future ford makes a mustang that sounds like a mustang.

Are you trying to instigate something? I mean there's already enough animosity between people who love/own the 15 and the non-15 owners because of the exterior design.

Now you bring the sound of the exhaust to the table? Man you trying to blow up Mustang Evo?

SMH ((😣) )

It's called aftermarket exhaust buddy, not many oem setups sound that impressive.

The aftermarket frpp doesn't sound good either. At least on videos. I'm sure it'll grow on me. People said the same thing about the 5.0 when it came out though. No big deal. Exhaust note doesn't make or break a car. If It did we would all have 2010 OR earlier models.

"not many oem setups sond that impressive", maybe on the cars you have bought.

You gotta be careful when you pick an aftermarket exhaust otherwise u just end up with something loud but no quality to the sound. does anyone know if the stock 15 GT is an x pipe or h pipe? ive been asking for years and no ones been able to tell me.

To me the exhaust did not sound any different than a 11-14 cpyote

You've been asking about the 15 exhaust for years? Lol they have only been out for a few months.

And honestly no stock car sounds all that impressive which is why it's generally the first thing that gets changed. They all come stock extremely muffled unless it's a performance model. And I'd much rather have a "wimpy" sounding car that performs then a slow car that sounds "good". Although I think some people are just too picky with exhaust tone. I've never changed an exhaust system after the initial upgrade as they all sound similar to me (maybe I just made the right choices the first time around).

And although the exhaust note can be manipulated by mufflers, cats, resonators, etc the tone comes from the engine. So the 15s will sound extremely similar to the 14s (I say similar bc I know they made a few minor upgrades to the engine that could potentially effect the sound).

the 2015 sounds nothing like the 11-14 exhaust. however it does sound a lot like this 2012 v6 with flowmasters. Once you guys hear it in person you will see what I am talking about.

I asked a few people at the local ford dealer who said it actually is an H-pipe...:/

Yeah maybe I shouldn't have said bad, I guess just different. I was hoping it would be deeper and not have that raspy buzz noise but things change, maybe I will grow to like it so I can fit in with society.

The 2014 GTs came with that hybrid H pipe so complaining about that makes no sense.

And those videos are apples to oranges. The GT video is in a garage so you really can't compare as exhaust generally sounds better in a garage/ parking deck due to the echo. Either way cameras can have different sound qualities as well.

Next thing you know people will say that the black paint on the 2015s doesn't look as good as the black paint on the 2014s even though it's the same paint code.
