Magnaflow Exhaust?

Traded in my 2013 V6 and purchased my new 2015 GT Premium Performance Package this past Saturday and absolutely LOVE the car, but dying to get exhaust for it. Been watching video after video and reading review after review and I STILL can't decide which exhaust to go with.. Right now I'm leaning towards the Magnaflow Competition Catback set up. Wanted to see what kind of feedback I could get if any of you have this exhaust and any pros/cons to it.

TIA!

Ok so I don't have a 15, but I do have a full magnaflow exhaust on my 14 5.0. Considering it's the same engine (I know it's a little more stout now) I will give you my .02. I have the street 3" catback and the magnaflow tru-x pipe. I did mine in stages, so I can speak to the sound with stock h pipe. It was considerably louder, but not out of control. My biggest complaint was a bit of drone at low rpm when hitting a hill or a mountain/ incline of some sort. But it was by no means annoying. Then I got the xpipe. Wow, it actually got a touch quieter and all drone gone. But it still sounds like a beast especially around 2-3 and 4500-7000. I also noticed power gains with the xpipe based on the butt dyno. I am still catted. No tune. Love the exhaust. I can imagine the competition is very much the same but a touch louder. I am happy with the street as I drive a lot and didn't want to give myself a headache everyday. Also, if you ever plan to go off-road pipes you might wish it wasn't a competition vs the street. I guess you will just have to make that call.

how does it sound on the downshift? My Roush exhaust on my 2013 V6 had a lot of "popping"

looking at going with the X-pipe as well.

I like a loud exhaust though. Now i'm thinking it may actually be too quiet.

i like a loud, throaty sound, not much drone and not much "popping"

Not a ton of popping. You can get it to do it if you try. It's loud man. Just not obnoxious loud. And I have the street so it's not as loud as the comp. you will be happy with it. I def recommend the xpipe to compliment it though.

I don't get any popping with the competition cat back it is just the right sound for me but everyone is different. I would try it first then maybe add Xpipe . That way you will not waste money.

I know the roush sounds good on its own but you can read tons of threads about how incredibly loud and obnoxious it can be with any other added exhaust mods. I'm sure this is true on the 15 as well. I'd say just make sure you know where you want to go with it eventually. Nothing worse than getting something like that then regretting it later because you add an x or h pipe with off roads. I will be curious to see what you end up with and how you like it 👍

This is exactly why I'm unsure... trying to figure out the big picture. You make an excellent point

Wait for the Active Roush exhaust! I have looked everywhere and listened to every exhaust clip I could find for the S550. This new Roush setup will give you the best of both worlds, tame when it needs to be and loud as ***** when you want to show off a little bit!

My car dosent get here for another 3-4 weeks ! So this would give me time to wait for the roush active to be released ! Hopefully they are louder then the other roush exhaust !

No...the Borla version sounds like a true Borla exhaust. It's deeper and has more of a lopey sound. The frpp by Borla sounds completely different.
