Brake squeal.

Brought my 15 gt in today for the second time for brakes squealing. The service advisor told me basically that he knows theres a problem; and he cant do anything to fix it until ford comes out with a service bulletin. My question is how do i know when a service bulletin is out. I know they will mail me something but i do not want to wait for slow postal delivery. It's embarrassing to pull up some where and people are staring because your brakes are making a hideous noise, instead if admiring car.

Same problem here. Very frustrating! I have had mine in the shop twice. First they replaced the pads and turned the rotors. Second time they replaced everything. Still does it at low speeds as I am turning. I will bring it in again when I have time. Only 3k on the car...

A TSB has been released on March 10. You may have to bring the car in, but your dealership can order the parts to fix the problem. Give them a call. Here is the document from Ford:

I went with Performance Ceramic Brake Pads.

Standard GT and Ecoboost PP.
They have the same brakes.
Does not apply to the GT PP.

Same issue here ! Have 4000 miles , been in shop 3x ! They put new brakes and rotors on and still does it . Will be taking back again and if they can't figure it out, they can keep it ! It's VERY LOUD ! Sounds like a freight train! It's actually worse with the new pads and rotors!

Tell your dealer to look up the TSB I posted above. They are supposed to fix with updated rotors. However, I am hearing the parts are backordered. Still, get your name on the list of recipients.

I sure will . I have documented the noise with video . I have played for service manager each time . Mysteriously it never makes this noise when they test drive !!??!! The whole neighborhood knows when I leave my house and when I get home ! It's embarrasing ! I won't continue to have a car that sounds like a freight train ! I love the car but HATE the noise ! Will keep updates on this thread as I see others unforgently are having same issue

Update on my brake issue on my 2015 Gt. Brakes continue to squeel like a freight train. I have made a formal complaint to Ford, parts were emergency ordered weeks ago and were suppose to be come in two days. Still no parts. I love the car but can't drive due to that annoying sound. Ford said parts are currently not available and couldn't give me an answer when they would be. Additionally they could not tell me what the exact cause of problem is. The dealership is giving me a loaner car to drive because I refuse to continue to it making that horrible, loud noise. I am disappointed and frustrated ! I am very dissatisfied with how Ford is handling this issue ! I certainly hope it's resolved soon!

Hmmm...your service manager does realize the fix is made up of completely different part numbers, right??
Because your situation sounds exactly like mine (and a bunch of others') before a TSB was released...the dealership would just slap on a new set of what we have already been using, and we would keep going back...

I believe so . They have the TBS. I read a long forum on another site last night with numerous people complaining about same issue. It appears the parts to fix problem are on nationwide back order. They are in contact with a ford representative about this. I feel lucky for the fact they gave me another car to drive and let me keep mine at home parked in garage until parts come in. Who knows when that will be. I can't get an answer and I am blowing their phones up .

I see this mistake all the time. Just helping everyone make sure they don't embarrass themselves when they visit the dealership and start demanding a TBS.

Nope, not even a squeak from my brakes since the TSB fix, about 800 miles later.

Surely they have heard of the problem more than once. And the TSB has been out for almost 3 months now? That's just laziness.
Time to visit another dealer.

Took my vehicle in for brake squeal on Friday and handed the tech the TSB and told them I was having issues with the front brakes. I pick my vehicle up only to find they replaced the rears and the tech insisting the noise I heard was coming from rear brakes. I drive the car home and pull into my parking lot and guess what! Front brake squeal!

Exclamation My dealer said the brake replacement may be of a lower quality?

My dealer said if I bring it in and if they can replicate the problem, when they replace what they need to replace it may not be as "high quality" of a breaking system. I was also told "all high performance break systems squeak". Hum?
