Beware of Roush Axleback

I order the MRT Delete Pipes and Roush Axleback from CJ Pony Parts and could not have been more upset with how it turned out. After hacking up the factory system to scavenge pieces to put it all together, I opened the box from Roush. Inside the box was 2 passenger side mufflers. I called CJ and they said it was a known issue and they didn't think they had any more. Know I am stuck with band clamps holding the old system together until I get the replacements next Tuesday. If you are thinking about this system....WAIT until Rroush has their act together!

I've had similar situations in the past a few times with things other than car parts!
Now, since I don't trust any retailer, I open, inspect and lay out all new items before hacking up the old.
You know what's even more of a kick in the nads?
When you call "company x,y or z" for help, and you are speaking to "John" who is speaking with an obvious Pakistani accent....5 thousand miles away.

So you started cutting up your pipes without even looking at what you would be putting on? How did you know where to cut/measure? Just wondering if they had instructions or you have to mock up and find the cut spots yourself.

Roush has online instructions for their products and CJ has instructions on their YouTube channel. This is not my first rodeo, I have built hot rods for the last 6yrs. I inventoried the box before starting, however the mufflers are not labeled left or right. It wasn't until I went to hang them that I realized they had identical bends and hanger placement.

Just make sure you apply a massive amount of sunscreen on your neck.

Nope CJ Pony is a joke. The "Supervisor" I spoke to never sent it out and told me I should just contact Roush directly. Needless to say that I am shipping those parts back! Thankfully American Muscle has them in stock now and I already have a tracking number. Lesson learned: I should have waited for AM to get them in stock and not have messed with the fools at CJ Pony.

PS: I wrote the owner of CJ a letter about my experience, but I am sure I will never hear anything back.

I always open the boxes before diving into a project. Has always prevented me from getting stranded. I'd rather be just pissed off rather than mad AND stuck with a torn apart car. Seems logical to me. Maybe I'm off the mark, never know around here.

I listened to a couple of youtube clips of this exhaust, and I think with our convertible, I would go with something quieter............jmho.
I hope you get your parts soon and that everything goes together smoothly for you.
