Questions about Performance Package

I'll be getting a GT Premium and I'm on the fence about the Performance Package. I think it's a pretty good deal for all the stuff you get, however, this car will be my daily driver and may not ever see a track. If, for some reason, I decide to sell it, I think the PP will help with resale. I'm wondering if the PP will make driving ride much rougher. I know handling will be better with spirited driving, but if I wanted to take the Mrs. for a road trip, ride comfort might be an issue. The 3.73 rear end might use more gas (not that big a deal) and I doubt I'll need that. If I can't get where I want to go with 435/400 then I should just go get a Fiesta.

Go with the PP. Some GT without PP had brake issues if built before Feb

Thanks Rico, didn't know that. Since I'll be buying in a month or two, hopefully that won't be an issue, but I'll check the stickers for build dates.

Well it doesn't sound like you realy need it. But in any case I would strongly suggest you find one of each that you can test drive first. Even let the salesman drive it with you and/or your wife as as a passenger.
Drive before you buy!

Like Diehard says, I really should drive both. Now I need to find a local dealer that has both in stock. Looks like I might have to drive a ways. Thanks for all your input guys.

fyi on my V6 with the performance package I avoided mention of that term to my wife. I just said it had upgraded brakes and tires

also, I think it will help re-sale but not enough to counter depriciation.
