Can't stand badges

I normally debadge all of my vehicles the day I bring them home, except the Fords......them and their stupid alignment pins for the badges.

Second, I hate chrome. I like things either body colored or blacked out. So we had to do something with the badging on the car.

Picked up some black badges and a rear trunk panel from LMR. The badges are here, just waiting on the panel to get the GT off the back.

Trying to decide if I wanted black or body colored.....decided to do body colored.

Used a little fishing line to strip the chrome ones off.......revealing those AWESOME alignment pin holes...

Prepped and painted the black ones with ingot silver and clear coat...

Not totally gone, but much more my style.....

Just need the panel to get here so I can lose the GT on the back. I'd much rather have someone think it's a V6 or EcoBoost car...

Nice job. I like the silver instead of the chrome. I might black mine out.

Wasn't sure if I wanted black or painted. The wheels are gonna be matte black and the windows tinted, so black would have fit, but I still would rather them not be there at all, so blending them in seemed to be the best option.

Still there, just subtle.

Or, instead of spending all of your time on all those engines, you can start learning body work and fix the holes and repaint.

I'd rather eat belly button lint than do paint and body. I'll stick to being a rattle can Picasso. lol

Man I am ssooo in agreement. Chrome is ok on cars prior to 1980 but even then not my preference. Like what you have done. I like to black out but I am trying to go more dark and sinister in theme. With the silver I like the silver 5.0 definitely post the rear end, looking forward to seeing.

Good choice on matching body color. Unique! For a little while anyway.

Someone at work just bought a GT in the same color. Pictures don't do it enough justice (as with any 15). Looks awesome in person

Cool idea the car has a sleeper look to it. Most people won't see the badges.
