Extended Service Plans

Hey guys how's it going. I have some of topic but important questions. So I just bought my fiance a 2013 fusion with 17k miles but pre owned certified for 7 years. 100k miles power train. What my real question is should I invest in a maintenance plan and or extended bumper to bumper car since she's a girl and would rather just take it in. like are the prices right. We were mainly thinking to do this as a short-term 3 years but she's decided that she can keep it for at least 6. I got some prices from a friend and thought they were good but wanted to see what you guys thought.
I got so far a 6 yr/75k mile maintenance plan for $600
And a 6 yr/100k mile bumper to bumper for $1545

What do you guys think about these prices. I also just bought a 15 GT Premium PP from them 12/1/14 and was thinking of maybe doing a maintenance plan for my black Beauty too if the price is right, especially since I just crossed the 3k miles and may soon get the oil changed! Any thoughts and expertise would be greatly appreciated.

This is what I got and will want to also keep it for a LONG time so I want to get the right extended service plans for it too.Click image for larger version

Honestly I never purchase any extended warranty programs from the dealer. Thats where they make all the money back on the deal you negotiated. But if it makes you sleep better at night then have at it. I just prefer to take my lumps as they come and trade out my vehicle every 4-5 years before things start to break down.

I took out the bumper to bumper mostly for the electronic side of things not my DD. Did not take maintenance change my own oil tires and such. But does not sound like a bad price!!!

Thanks I didn't think so. That would be like 10-15 visits for her for $600 and it will cover the 50 k mile larger maintenance for her fusion. I didn't do it for my Mustang but I'm thinking of doing it because they put it on the Carfax and I could use that if I do want to ever sell my 15

I skipped the maintenance warranty, did not think the cost justified it especially since there isn't much to do on a new/newer car. I did get the premiumcare bumper to bumper warranty extended on my 2014 Mustang to cover it in case something electrical goes wrong down the road. Went with 8 year/100k. And purchasing online was definitely the cheapest route.

I plan on traveling, so I bought the extended warranty. I do NOT want to have a break down in the middle of nowhere, and I've driven where all I've seen are lots of miles of nothing but weeds.

I got both the maintenance and warranty. If you do the math for the maintenance plan you end up winning in the end. The bet is that you sell the car before the plan ends. Most of the time it is a very safe bet. I also have a dealer warranty on most of the car, for free. Catch is all maintenance must be done at the dealership. So....in that instance it saves me money in the end.Click image for larger version

Yeah I haggle them on my girls car. But am going back within a month before my first oil change to see if I can get them to give me a really good deal for both the ESP AND MAINTENANCE Plan. If you don't mind me asking how much did you pay for your maintenance plan and how many visits and mile intervals did the plan entail
