New 2015 5.0 washing?

So I bought the new 2015 5.0, do I have to worry about water getting in the engine thru the hood vents?

Pretty sure all electrical stuff should be weather proof so no need to worry 👍🏽

I mean when it rains water is going to go into the vents. Also through the front grill. As long as you don't start pressure washing the electrical components you'll be fine

What were you doing? I've never had issues with my 13's hood vents.

I had done nothing to the engine just exhaust and a few things to the exterior. Every time I would wash it water would get thru the vents on the hood. I was one of the lucky ones that got of the gt's that had electrical issues from the factory and had to take it to the dealer twice to get it fixed

You had electrical issues from the factory, the water had nothing to do with that.

Stupid me, my brain was on that subject, I know I sound retarded right now. Water was going thru my vents and get on my air intake the stock air box. Glad I didn't have a cold air intake. I know there were others having issues with that as well! That's why I started this thread of there was the same issue with the '15's

I've never had any problems with water on my factory air intake, and I've driven through winter storms, heavy thunderstorms, and times when I could barely see in front of me.

As for an aftermarket CAI, that's another story altogether. I'll never buy one for the 5.0. It's a money grab, plain and simple.

Oh ok! It is what it is I guess! Yeah I won't buy one for my 5.0. I mean really the 5.0 is an amazing car! As of right now I just plan on doing cosmetic stuff! I'm getting my windows tinted and probably going to change the badges to gloss black. That's it for the moment.

I'll give my engine bay an easy spray down when I wash the car, no worries.
