15 GT intake manifolds

Looks like the Boss and CJ intakes will not fit under the stock hoods. Reading on another forum where at least 6 inches of additional height needed. Lower motor mounts will not do it without an aftermarket hood included. Wow, looks like Ford wants you all to keep the stocker IM or have to add one fat daddy hood scope.

Well weren't people saying the 2015 stock was outflowing those two anyways? I'm sure someone will make another intake manifold though.

It out flows it considerably down low. But not up top. And I know lund racing got it to fit under a stock hood. So did AM

And does not the 15 have the better rods and heads anyway? CJ would be great on 15 plus GT.

Maybe Alex knows...?

It had the same rods as the boss and bigger valves then the 11-14 had

It's still going to loose tq with the CJ also.

I honestly do not think it's worth the money personally. Unless you are planning a all out NA build. It's worth 10hp -15hp over the boss. And you get 5-10 from porting the boss. With the proper tuning and tuner who wants and knows how to mess with the cam timing and multiple timing and spark tables the boss will support 8000 rpms also.

No I want to sell it now honestly. It sits in the garage 28 days out of a 30 day month anyways.
Corvette is going to have to wait. Need to buy a house first. Just have to make sure we don't have to move for work like I did last time, in the middle of building one. And loose $15,000 in design studio and closing cost.

Bike game is what I want to get back into for the meantime

Definitely if you are stock manifold it's worth the money to go CJ. Just not from the boss to the CJ

Following the thread it looks like the CJ IM is longer than the Boss thus creating more of a height issue on the 15's.

In addition, my theory is that Ford does not want the 15 and newer GT motored cars competing with the new 526 hp GT350's. Being that a 15 and newer motor (with the better rods and heads) with a full Cobra Jet setup, long tubes, and tuning would fairly close power wise to Ford's new flat plane crank toy. LOL.
Just a theory...

Spoke to steeda yesterday, and they said they heard rumors that the IM on the GT350 would be released Independantly and it would fit the coyote no problem.

Mod the 5.2 and then you're back to apples to apples
