Ford racing x-pipe

Has anyone installed the ford racing x-pipe on their 2015 GT? I was trying to decide on it versus an h-pipe.

I actually have the h pipe preordered from CJs. Think it will go well with my Ford racing touring AB.

Is it stainless also? I'm not sure I like the total seal clamps the ford racing comes with either.

Were you going to have it welded in or use clamps on the cut sections?

I will use the clamps that come with it. I don't see the need to weld anything.

The clamps just wrap around the two pipes that are end to end and no leaks? That's good. Any problems cutting the resonator out?

Just make sure you take the whole exhaust off before you cut. Don't want to hit the fuel tank😟

water comes out all the clamps. but its normal! the 2 clamps provided by frpp form to the pipes! fits good and holds strong doesn't sag or flex. plus i have the roush quad exhaust which i think is a little heavier than the stock! mine lined up perfectly so there was no gap between the pipe.

Ford racing x-pipe

jus cut it to what the directions say! i jus put a piece of tape around for a guide and used my sawzall! its not as nerve wrecking as it seems. i use a sawzall for my job so i was confident in that part. if u never used one maybe practice first and get the right blade for the job. and what 14sgmgt said take out the whole exhaust, easier to measure and easier to cut and safer imo. dont want to get any metal shavings in your eyes!

I installed the X-pipe with the Roush Axle-backs, sounds great. I jacked the car up in the garage to do it. The biggest issue I had was trying to fit under the car in a way that I could achieve leverage for using the Sawzall. If you use the jack-method, use care as not to cut into the floorboard. Also, I would recommend NOT using an impact (it is not recommended anyway). My 20V Dewalt "Impact" did the trick. The engine side clamps gave a little challenge to get off, but not much. The resonator is heavier than you'd expect, but not bad for the way you have to remove it.
