Yes. But if you look at a globe, Alaska is way up to the North, which is much higher than say Australia, which is far down in the southern hemisphere. Due to your geographical location on earth...

I have no idea why you have such crappy gas in Anchorage.

Maybe write a letter to your congressman.

I found one station that had 93 at 3rd and Division, and a couple that have ethanol free gas. I'll have to try that stuff, and see how much better it runs.

when I lived in hawaii we had 92 octane.

We have 97 octane here in miami. I guess everything is better here.

There is a station here in Sacramento that sells Sunoco race gas. I think they have 100 or 105.

Here in the East Bay too, but 16 gallons won't get you far.
Those stations are typically hundreds of miles apart.
I get e85 there and fill up a couple drums at a time.

There is an E85 station 4 miles from my house. So if I ever convert it shouldn't be too bad. But near school the closest is about 25 minutes.
