Speaker size for base model 2015

Hey guys, so I called Cruthfield because I want to upgrade the system in my 2015 base model GT but they couldn't help me with the speaker size yet because they haven't researched it. Does anyone know the dimensions (length, width and depth) for the 2015 base model GT? Or has anyone changed out their speakers and if so which ones did you use and were they an exact fit? I don't want to have to do any customizing, I just want to buy speakers that are a direct fit. Thanks in advance!!!

I'm curious about this as well. From my research, they're 6.5" in the front and back. The front are supposedly shallow.

Can you give the dminesions of the speakers you bought? Were they a direct fit? Seems like nobody has any information about exact speaker sizes and specs yet so any information you can provide would be great! I really want to upgrade my system but want to make sure whatever I buy fits. Crutchfield has no idea yet.

I can't remember the exact dimensions of the speakers but it was a direct fit there was no modification necessary

Do you have base or premium model 2015? What's the exact name of the front and rear speakers? If you say t was a direct fit I can just use your speakers and call crutch field and give them the name of your speakers and then they will know what fits and what doesn't fit when it comes to other speakers. Thanks!!!

Sorry, 5 1/2 both front and back.
But if you don't add an amp it won't be much of a difference.

Thanks so 5 1/2 all around? What about the depth of them?

They are both shallow. In the front if you use the bracket from the original you don't have much room but in the back you have plenty of room. I regret not getting a speaker with more depth in the back. I went with 5 1/2 kickers 300 watts all around, but you can go bigger in the back.
Alpine has a power pack for the speakers that is a must, it make the speakers sound awesome . The original amp the base GT has only push like 25 watts this one gives you 250 watts.

6-1/2 or 6-3/4 will fit front and rear. Replaced mine with Kicker KS series. And yes the back screw on the rear speakers is an sob to get to. I used nut driver with universal joint, and cussed at Ford a little... It seemed to help.
