CDC Custom Door Sills Installed

Well I received my new CDC Custom Door Sills. They light up and work just like the stock ones. When removing the stock ones I did break off part of the clip on each. It was the clip closest to the rear seat. That is definitely the hardest to remove. Also, use a plastic puddy knife on the door side to losedn the double sided tape first. That said here they are. What do you think? I did it as my Instagram name (couldnt fit the @ and 5.0 though) which is the name I call it all the time anyway lol.

I think it's better that it's not exactly your IG with the @ and all that. It's very appropriate this way. Even the next owner could rock it.

Modding is like a addiction, and it's not selective about a particular age, because I am in my second or third childhood.

Mine did not come with lighted door sills. Can someone let me know where to tap in to the wiring to light up the aftermarket ones please?

You tap in to the wiring in the A pillar on the passenger side going up to the Map lights. Be careful which ones you tap in to. You could blow fuses and cause things to stop working. It seems the coloring of these wires vary between years as well.

I did mine, but only after I blew 2 fuses. LOL. So keep some spare 10 amp fuses handy (red one).

Then just use the ground above the fuse box on in the passenger side kick and your good.

I used a test light to find this wire and make sure it was right. Open the door and the light comes on. Close the door and it gradually turns off. Boom you know your in business.

I just dropped over 5k on a blower....GF hopefully doesn't find out how much that cost....she'd rightfully ask when was the last time I spent 5k on her...ummmm, maybe never?

I love her but she wouldn't know a spark plug from a wall plug so, pretty safe there, other than she's likely to ask what all the whistling and whirring noises are and think the car is "busted" again...
