Congrats! Love the car and the smart move.

FYI... there is nothing you can do about those bugs. I have spent thousands upon thousands and still getting to me every day

I see a flash of red on your calipers. Did you paint them? If so, how hard is it? I don't have a jack or stands or even a 4 way to get the lugs off. I had to tip a kid at Firestone to put on my lug locks.

I started off practical for my mods. I lopped off the mufflers and let her breath a bit. Next step will be a custom h pipe to get rid of the suitcase ford calls a resonator.

Same here, I wanted the Mustang in 2009 but went with the SS. After having both I do prefer everything about the GT Speaking of the MOD bug its time to get the GT to 650 RWHP!!

Yes they do, they had a yellow perf pack 5.0 on the new car lot. I told the salesman I wanted it. Turned out it was previously owned and had 1k miles on it. So technically it was a used car and a worse rate for financing. But the one I have in race red is the last one on the island with performance package and 6spd manual. So red it is.

It gets so much better when you chop off the mufflers and 20% the windows. I'm in love. It looks mean and sounds hulk aggressive. I should have made the change months ago. Loving the recaro seats too. Just wish the seatbelt holder worked better.

I was planning to buy a Camaro ZL1 (its design looks good) in addition to my GT500 (780rwhp) but now you all confuse me. I am at a loss. Shall I drop the idea alltogether?

Have you driven a Camaro and tried to see out of the thing? Pull up to a red light, and if you are first in line, you will have your nose on the top of the steering wheel in order to see when the light changes. The Camaro is like driving a tank and looking out through a gun slot, as all the windows are way too small -- almost dangerously so.

Thank you for discouraging me and letting me save money for other purpose. Looking out of a gun slot is not good if you have 580hp under your a..

OP, thx for the side by photo....I like how Camaros look but for V6's (like my Stang) the Stang was more fun...but looking at the new Stang, boy do those look great esp next to the Camaro. Enjoy the ride.

After months of rumination I chanced on a used automatic ZL1 of 2013. Almost new, some 6000 miles on the clock. It even smelt new a little. It was slightly modded - Borla, new injectors, headers, some other items from Lingenfelter, 600+hp. Now I can compare both cars. Definitely ZL1 loses much to GT500 in power and torque though GT500 is modded heavily (780hp and 980tq on the wheels) and comparison is not entirely fair. I agree ZL1 indeed has a limited view from inside, especially when you go rearwards. On the other hand ZL1 suspension is much softer and as a result ZL1 is more comfortable for long drives. GT500 has a very stiff suspension and loud Magnaflow exhaust so that after an hour of driving and shaking the brains the head begins to swell.
The bottomline is that I love both!

Isn't a major function of a good suspension set up road feedback? That rules out soft suspension for me. ..
