So the whole you get more in the upper rpm range on the race tune is just gimmick?

No they all do improve throughout the rpm range but not by much between the tunes but still well worth the money lets just say if your stock it will definitely wake the car up

So you basically use race tune if you want increased throttle response. I like that feature so I'll stay with the race tune

One is for normal driving. The sport is for slightly aggressive driving. Sport plus is for really aggressive driving. And the track setting is used when your on a closed course track.

I think the track setting unlocks like 50hp.

http://files.americanmuscle.com/wp-c...mance-tune.jpg

So after examining the graph that shows stick, tune and tune/intake combo, you can see there are almost no gains with the CAI. The gains throughout the curve are none, and the only peak gain come in at almost redline, which is basically useless. So yeah I'm convinced the stock airbox is just as good as any CAI and definitely will not be upgrading to a CAI. I guess my next mod will be some 3.73 gears.

Good find sir, so its settled. I'm still glad I bought my CAI. Love its eye candy looks for the car shows plus the sound under WOT. Sweet music to my ears. 😉
